March 15, 1966
The City Council met -on -the above date, Mayor R. S. Elliott
presiding.
The following councilmen and officials were present: Jay C.
Sloan, Hubert Brock, A. W. Hoyt, Jr., Doyle Lyda, Edward Lee Evans,
Charles D. Eyeington City Manager, Claud Eads City Secretary,
Claudio Mayo Electrical Supt., J. D. Tinning Water and Sewer
Supt.,
Also present were: John Cardwell, with Williamson County Sun;
Drew Ballard with KGTN; James Lackey and Marvin Henderson. Repres6nt-
ing Humble Oil and Refing Company were Mr. Will Wilson of Austin,
J. B. Jackson of San Antonio, C. D. Harris of San Antonio, James
Terry of San Antonio and C. A. Formes of Georgetown. Also present
were: H. W. Curington with Bryant and Curington and Joe B. McMaster
City Attoeney; and Tom Sexton and J. T. Parker and Curtis B.
Adrian with First Southwest Company and financial advisor to council.
Minutes of the previous meetings on February 14 and February
28, 1966, were approved as presented.
Manager Eyeington's report was accepted as presented.
Motion by Evans and seconded by Sloan that General Fund
bills in the amount of $ 2,784.54 be approved and paid. Motion
carried by unanimous vote.
Motion by Hoyt and seconded by Brock that Manager Eyeington
be authorized to have a new roof put on the Community Center
Building in the San Gabriel Park. Motion carried by unanimous
vote.
Motion by Evans and seconded by Lyda that Manager Eyeington
and Electrical Supt. Mayo be authorized to pwrchase Electrical
ladder and bucket at best possible prices as per bids presented
to the council. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Motion by Hubert H. Brock and seconded by A. W. Hoyt, Jr. that
Council refuse to instruct City Secretary to issue building permit
to Humble Oil and Refining Company to build service station on
�i North Interregional Highway 35 north of Andice Road and west of
Interr6gional Highway in violation of present City Ordinance
relative to size of storage tanks. Motion carried by unanimous
vote.
Motion by Lyda and seconded by Hoyt that Tom Sexton's pre-
liminarey plat be approved as presented. Motion carried by unan-
imous vote.

Mr. J. T. Parker requested that council provide Country Club addi-
tion with.sewerservices. Mayor stated that the city would
provide sewer services wbth the developer installed the proper
facilities to receive utility services.
Curtis Adrian suggested that the council sell$250,000 Bonds
and he would prepare schedule and would discuss the schedule with
City Manager Eyeington. Councilman Sloan suggested May 2, 1966 be set
as a tentative date for sale of Bonds.
• Mayor Elliott appointed the following persons to serve on
Citizens Advisory Boards J. R. Roberts, Harvey Miller and Ethel -
Moore. Council approved appointment.
Mayor stated that there would be a called meeting of Council
on March 28, 1966.
AMENDMENT TO THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN
An amendment to the ordinance of the City of Georgetown,
Texas, amending the zoning Ordinance which went into effect on
September 21, 1961, amending the zoning district map and making
this amendment a part of the map of the original ordinance=
to change the hereinafter described real estate in said City from
"R-1", One Family Dwelling District, to "B-2", Commercial District,
as hereinafter set forth. (Noel Daniels)

Motion by Sloan, seconded by Hoyt that above amendment to
Zoning Ordinance be approved. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
There being no further business, on motion by Sloan, seconded
by Brock meeting adjourned.
