Curtis B. Adrian with the First Southwest Company discussed his Company's
proposed contract with the City to handle the City of Georgetown's proposed
warrant that they are expecting to issue. fir. Adrian stated that his company
would handle the warrants and issuing of bonds at a price of P3,500.00 and an
interest,rate to be determined at the time the warrants are issued.
No Action was taken.

The City Council met in regular session on the above date, Mayor R. S.
Elliott presiding. The following Councilmen and officials were present:
Hubert Brock, Doyle Lyda, Jay C. Sloan, Edward Lee Evans, A. W. Hoyt, Jr.,
Charles D. Eyeington, City !tanager, Claud Eads, City Secretary, Claudie Mayo,
Electrical Supt., J. D. Tinning, Water & Sewer Supt., Frank Masur, Jr., Chief of
Police, C. S. Sanders, Tax Collector, Joe B. McMaster, City Attorney, Don Scar-
brough and John Cardwell with Williamson County Sun Publishing Co., Drew
Ballard with K.G.T.N. Radio Station, Less Hudson with Bryant-Curington Engineers,
John Tarpley,,,,Electrical engineer Consultant, also Jay Wolfe and Mr. Giesecke.
Minutes of meetings on December 13, 1965 and January 3, 1966 were approved
as presented.
Motion by Brock and seconded by Evans that City !tanagers report be accept-
ed and General Fund bills in the amount of $1,328.91 be paid and also bill in
amount of $100.50 be paid to C. S. Sanders, Tax Collector in connection with
preparation of delinquent tax list prepared for Emzy Cooper. Motion carried
by unanimous vote.
Jay Wolfe suggested the Electrical rate be adjusted. Mr. Wolfe stated in
his discussion that he thought the rates were too high. Council suggested
that City Manager Eyeington make a survey of electrical rates and report to
the council at regular meeting in February. No action was taken on matter
other than stated above.
Mr. Hudson and Mr. Tarpley discussed the construction of Electrical loop
to be constructed to serve S.U. and adjoining services and stated that the
cost would be about $200,000.00.
Mr. Hudson presented to the Council their Summary of Engineers.tatimates
of 1966 Improvement Program.
