The City Council met in a called session on the above date,
Mayor J.T.Atkin presiding, the following aldermen were pre- . .
sent, J.H.Compton. E.K.Frederieson, A.C.Woodfin, Kennie Wilcox Jr.
City Manager Lee Vlack. Asst mgr. H.A.Partain, City Attorney
W.H.Nunn.
The meeting was called in order that the Southwestern States
Telephone Company might present their proposed new telephone
rate for the City Of eorgetown, The telephone company was
represented by Mr. E.ttzman, Mr. G.M.Brennan & Mr Bill Vann
Mr Utzman explained the cause for the proposed new rate and
presented figures on the change. after the three representatives
of the Telephone Co. had concluded their explanations and talks
the City Council agreed to study the proposal further.
There being no further buisness on motion of Ald. J.H.Compton
and seconded by Ald. A.C.Woodfin the meeting was adjourned.
