HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 05.02.1966 CC-S May 2, 1966 463 The City Council met in called session on the above date for the purpose of selling $ 325,000.00 Revenue bonds, Mayor Jay C. Sloan presiding. The following councilman and officials were present: Hubert H. Brock, Doyle Lyda, Edward Lee Evans, A. W. Noyt, Jr., City Manager Charles D. Eyeington, City Secretary Claud Eads, City Attorney Joe B. McMaster, Drew Ballard with K.G.T.N. Radio Station, Harry Gold, R. S. Elliott and Curtis B. Adrian who is a Financial Advisor with First Southwest Company. Housing The Mayor appointed the following to the Housing Board of Appeals: Board of Charles A. Forbes -*Realtor - 3 -year term Appeals Dr, James L. Shepherd - Physician - 3 -year term Elmer Fredericson - Building material dealer - 2 -year term Dee Scott - General Contractor - 2 -year term W. P.•Hoffman - Member at Large - 1 -year term ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF 11EVENIJE BONDS THE STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF WILLIAMSON CITY OF GEORGETOWN On this the 2nd day of May, 1966, the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, convened in special session at the regular meeting place thereof in the City Hall with the following members present: Jay C. Sloan, Mayor, E. L. Evans, i Doyle E: Lyda,) Aldermen, A. W. Hoyt, Jr. (Mr. Hoyt arrived late and did not vote) Hubert H. Brock Claude Eads, City Secretary, and the following absent: A. W. Iioyt, Jr., constituting a quorum, when the following, among other proceedings were had, to -wit: Alderman Lyda introduced a proposed ordinance which was read in full. Alderman Evans moved that the rule requiring or- dinances to be read at more than one meeting be suspended. The motion was seconded by Alderman Brock. The motion carried by the following vote: AYES: Aldermen Evans, Lyda and Brock. NOES: None Alderman Evans moved that the ordinance be passed finally. The motion was seconded by Alderman Lyda. The motion carried by the following vote: AYES: Aldermen Evans, Lyda and Brock. NOES: None. The Mayor announced that the ordinance had been finally passed. 465 Motion by Evans and seconded by Brock that City operate Shell Swimming pool as specified above. Motion carried by unanimous vote. CITY HALL Bids from Williamson County Butane and Doyle Anderson were AIR-CONDITION- opened and discussed. No action was taken due to the insufficient ING information as to amount of B.T.U., Brand names and time of install- ation. Bids will be discussed at a later date.
