Mayor Doering read a letter from City Manager Leo Wood informing
the Mayor and Council of his intentions to resign effective
July 16, 1985. Motion by Girvin and seconded by Shell to accept
Leo Wood's resignation and approve the payment of four months
pay, car allowances and expense account. Motion carried by
unanimous vote. Note by Colbert: This is a difficult action to
accept. I think the financial gains for the City of Georgetown
that Leo has made speak for themselves. I think that this
is a small reward for those efforts.
At this time the council appointed Director of Finance and
Administration Frank A. Reed as temporary Assistant City
Manager and Interim City Manager upon the departure of City
