HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 01.03.1985 CC-S222 January 3, 1985 The City Council met in Special Session on the above date at 8:00 P.M. with Mayor Carl Doering presiding. The following Council Members and Officials were present: Eb C. Girvin, Bill Connor, William C. Shell, Joan King, Jim Colbert, City Manager Leo Wood, City Secretary Pat Caballero, Public Works Director W. L. Walden, Planning Director Renee Hanson and Tax/Finance Director Barbara Raney. Bills over $2,000.00 Motion by King and seconded by Girvin to approve the bills submitted by City Manager Leo Wood. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Brazos River Authority Motion by King and seconded by Girvin to commit to 1 MGD of current water and 3.86 MGD of future water supplied by the Brazos River Authority. Voting went as follows: YES: King, Shell and Girvin. NO: Colbert and Connor. Motion carried Resolution - TDWR/ Motion by King and seconded by Shell to approve a Edwards Aquifer resolution authorizing the Mayor of the City of Georgetown or his designate to appear at a meeting of the Texas Department of Water Resources on January 7, 1985, for discussion of the proposed rules for the Edwards Aquifer and express the concern of the City Staff of Georgetown at such meeting. Motion carried by unanimous vote. (ord Book #5, Page Approve Contract Motion by Connor and seconded by Shell to approve a contract with Freese & Nichols with Freese and Nichols for the engineering associated with the San Jose Project with an approximate cost of $65,830.00. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Resolution - San Jose Motion by Connor and seconded by Girvin to approve a Commitment resolution specifying funding commitment of two hundred fifty thousand, three hundred fifty dollars for completion of the San Jose Project. Motion carried by unanimous vote. (Ord. Book #5, Page Discuss Road Planning Director Renee Hanson appeared before the Improvements Fund Council with a request to establish a Road Improvement Fund relative to land development requirements. The Council indicated that Hanson prepare a report on this for Council review. Variance - Building No action was taken on this matter. Line -1204 Peach Tree Lane Misc. Director of Public Works W. L. Walden reported to the Council on the status of various projects throughout the City. Adjourn Motion by Connor and seconded by Shell to adjourn. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
