The City Council met in Special Session on the above date
at 4:30 P.M. with Mayor John C. Doerfler presiding. The
following Councilmen and Officials were present: Eb C.
Girvin, Carl Doering, Bill Connor, Marvin Lackey, William
C. Shell, City Manager Leo Wood, City Secretary Pat
Caballero, Public Works Director W. L. Walden, Planning
Director Renee Hanson, Tax/Finance Director Barbara Raney
and Building Official Frank Wineinger.
Variance -Building The City Council considered a request from the developers of
Permit Process - the Comfort Inn to grant a variance from the building permit
Comfort Inn process and allow the start of the building process to begin
before certain sewer lines were installed. Motion by Girvin
and seconded by Shell to approve the variance under the
following conditions: 1)Detention plan must be submitted
and approved and 2) Sewer line cost be placed in a$5,000.00
escrow account and 3) Notice that utilities will not be
connected until retention and sewer line is completed shall
be placed on the permit. Motion carried by unanimous vote.

At this time Mayor Doerfler appointed Joe Buchanan,
Tommy Foust and Stanley Bland to the Board of Electrical
Examiners.
Motion by Shell and seconded by Connor to adjourn. Motion
carried by unanimous vote.
