March 19, 1984
The City Council met in Special Session on the above date
at 7:30 A.M. with Mayor John C. Doerfler presiding. The
following Councilmen and Officials were present: Eb C.
Girvin, Carl Doering, Bill Connor, Marvin Lackey, William C.
Shell, City Manager Leo Wood, City Secretary Pat Caballero,
and Planning Director Renee Hanson.
Ballot Distribution - City Secretary Pat Caballero reported to the council
that he received 2000 ballots for the April 7, 1984 Regular
Council Election. He indicated that the would need to withdraw
250 of these ballots to conduct absentee voting and the
remaining 1,750 would be used on election day. Motion by
Connor and seconded by Shell to verify this distribution of
ballots. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Resolution - Community
Services Discretionary
T-i�J Block Grant - At this time Pat Caballero read aloud a resolution stating
T 1 that the City of Georgetown would apply for Community Services
(� Discretionary Block Grant under the terms and conditions of
the United States of America and to its delegates, and shall
Q enter into and agree to the understanding an assurances
Q contained in said application. Motion by Connor and seconded
by Doering to approve the resolution. Motion carried by
unanimous vote. (Ord Book #5, Page 229).
Misc. - At this time Mayor Doerfler appointed Dick Waters to be a member
of the Board of Mechanical Appeals and Adjustments.
At this time Mayor Doerfler appointed Councilman Bill Connor
to work with Wink Walden on an issue concerning sanitation
services.
Adjourn Motion by Connor and seconded by Shell to adjourn. Motion
carried by unanimous vote.
