HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 10.03.1983 CC-S122 October 3, 1983 The City Council met in Special session on the above date at 5:00 PM with Mayor John C. Doerfler presiding. The following Councilmen and Officials were present: Eb C. Girvin, Carl Doering, Marvin Lackey, Bill Connor, William C. Shell, City Manager Leo Wood, City Secretary Jim Colbert, Public Works Director W. L. Walden, Tax/Finance Director Barbara Raney and City Planner Renee Hanson. Heritage Society - Motion by Doering and seconded by Shell to allow the George - Use of Community town Heritage Society to use the Community Center October Center 28-30, 1983, free of charge. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Main Street Report Ordinance - Abandonment of 20' Alley between Blk. 15 & 16, Southside Addition, 2nd read. Ordinance - Rezoning OL 4, Div A (1940 Austin Ave) from RM to C2A. 2nd reading Ordinance - Rezoning Part of OL 8 and OL 47, Division A from RS to C2A, 2nd reading Ordinance - Rezoning Lots 1 & 2, Block 29, City Addition (502 & 508 Rock Street) from RS to C2A. 2nd read. No action was taken on this matter. Motion by Connor and seconded by Shell to approve on second and final reading an ordinance abandoning a 20 foot alley between Block 15 and 16 of the Southside Addition. Motion carried by unanimous vote. (Ord. Book #5, Pages 38-40). Motion by Lackey and seconded by Shell to take no action on this matter pending a letter from the Housing Authority and obtaining a 15 foot easement. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Motion by Connor and seconded by Doering to approve on second and final reading an ordinance rezoning part of OL 8 and OL 47, Division A from RS to C2A subject to obtaining an acceptable drainage easement from the owners. Motion carried by unanimous vote. (Ord. Book #5, Pages 41 ana 42). Motion by Lackey and seconded by Shell to approve on second and final reading an ordinance rezoning Lots one and two, Block 29, City Addition from RS to C2A. Motion carried by unanimous vote. (Ord. Book #5, Page 43). Ordinance - Annexation Motion by Doering and seconded by Connor to approve on second of Trussway Property, and final reading an ordinance annexing 10.83 acres belonging 2nd reading to Trussway. Motion carried by unanimous vote. (Ord Book #5, Pages 44-48). Ordinance - Rezoning Motion by Shell and seconded by Connor to approve on second of Trussway Property, and final reading an ordinance rezoning 10.83 acres belonging from RS to I, 2nd to Trussway from RS to I - Industrial. Motion carried by reading unanimous vote. (Ord. Book #5, Pages 49-51). Ordinance - Annexation Motion by Connor and seconded by Lackey to approve on second of Bryco Property, and final reading an ordinance annexing 5.90 acres belonging 2nd reading to Bryco. Motion carried by unanimous vote. (Ord Book #5, Pages 52-55). Ordinance - Rezoning Motion by Shell and seconded by Connor to approve on second of Bryco Property and final reading an ordinance rezoning 5.90 acres of land from RS to I, 2nd belonging to Bryco from RS to I, 'Industrial. Motion carried reading by unanimous vote. (Ord. Book #5, Pages 56-57). Ordinance - Annexation Motion by Lackey and seconded by Connor to approve on second of Superior Stone and final reading an ordinance annexing 5.47 acres of land Property, 2nd read. belonging to Superior Stone. Motion carried by unanimous vote. (Ord. Book #5, Pages 58-61). Ordinance - Rezoning No action was taken on this matter. of Superior Stone Property from RS to I, 2nd reading 123 Ordinance - Annexation Motion by Connor and seconded by Shell to approve on of Georgetown Railroad second and final reading an ordinance annexing 2.11 Property, 2nd reading acres and 24.24 acres belonging to Georgetown Rail- road. Motion carried by unanimous vote. (Ord. Book #5, Pages 62-67). Ordinance - Rezoning Motion by Shell and seconded by Connor to approve on Georgetown Railroad second and final reading an ordinance rezoning 2.11 Property, from RS acres and 24.24 acres belonging to Georgetown Rail - to I, 2nd reading road from RS, Single Family to I, Industrial. Motion vote. carried by unanimous vote. (Ord. Book #5, Pages 68-72). Q Ordinance - Annexation Motion by Lackey and seconded by Girvin to approve on of Summey Corp. Pro- second and final reading an ordinance annexing 27.33 perty, 2nd reading acres belonging to Summey Corp. Motion carried by unanimous vote. (Ord. Book #5, Pages 73-77). Executive Session At this time, Mayor Doerfler announced that the City Council would meet in executive session as provided by Article 6252, V.T.C.S. Following the executive session the meeting was again opened to the public. Water Report No action was taken on this matter. Adjourn There being no further business, on a motion by Connor and seconded by Shell, the meeting adjourned. JO N C.
