HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 09.21.1983 CC-S120 September 21, 1983 The City Council met in Special Session on the above date at 5:00 PM with Mayor John C. Doerfler presiding. The following Councilmen and Officials were present: Eb C. Girvin, Carl Doering, Marvin Lackey, Bill Connor, City Manager Leo Wood, City Secretary Jim Colbert, Public Works Director W. L. Walden, Tax/ Finance Director Barbara Raney and Planner Renee Hanson. Councilman William C. Shell was absent. Airport Lease Agreement Motion by Connor and seconded by Doering to approve an assignment of the Airport Lease with McKinney and Moore Inc., provided: (1) the City does not waive the right of first refusal to assume obligations of McKinney and Moore as provided in paragraph 15.0 of the original lease and (2) any future sale, conveyance or assignment is subject to prior written approval by the City Council. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Capital Improvements Program No action was taken on this matter. Freese -Nichols Report and Motion by Doering and seconded by Girvin to accept the Recommendations recommendations of Freese and Nichols concerning the Forest Street sewer repair. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Ordinance - Annexation of Motion by Doering and seconded by Girvin to approve on Trussway Property, 1st first reading an ordinnace annexing 10.83 acres belonging reading to Trussway. Motion cqrried by unanimous vote. Ordinance - Rezoning Motion by Lackey and seconded by Connor to approve on Trussway Property, from first reading an ordinance rezoning 10.83 acres belonging RS to I, 1st reading to Trussway from RS, Single Family to I, Industrial. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Ordinance - Annexation of Motion by Connor and seconded by Girvin to approve on Bryco Property, lst first reading an ordinance annexing 5.90 acres belonging reading to Bryco. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Ordinance - Rezoning of Motion by Girvin and seconded by Doering to approve on Bryco Property from RS to first reading an ordinance rezoning 5.90 acres belonging I, 1st reading to Bryco from RS, Single Family to I, Industrial. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Ordinance - Annexation of Motion by Doering and seconded by Lackey to approve on Superior Stone Property, first reading an ordinance annexing 5.47 acres belonging 1st reading to Superior Stone. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Ordinance - Rezoning of Motion by Lackey and seconded by Connor to approve on first Superior Stone Property reading an ordinance rezoning 5.47 acres belonging to from RS to I, 1st reading Superior Stone from RS, Single Family to I, Industrial. Motion carried by unanimou vote. Ordinance - Annexation of Motion by Connor and seconded by Girvin to approve on Georgetown Railroad Property first reading an ordinance annexing 2.11 acres and 24.24 1st reading acres belonging to Georgetown Railroad. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Ordinance - Rezoning of Motion by Girvin and seconded by Doering to approve on Georgetown Railroad Prop- first reading an ordinance rezoning 2.11 acres and 24.24 erty from RS to I, 1st acres belonging to Georgetown Railroad from RS, Single reading Family to I, Industril. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Ordinance - Motion by Doering and Annexation of reading an ordinance Summey Corp. Summey Corp. Motion Property, 1st reading 121 seconded by Lackey to approve on first annexing 27.33 acres belonging to carried by unanimou vote. Ordinance - Motion by Connor and seconded by Lackey to approve on first Rezoning Prop- reading an ordinance rezoning 27.33 acres belonging to Summey erty of Summey Corp. from RS, Single Family to I, Industrial. Motion carried Corp., from RS by unanimous vote. to I, lst read. Executive Session At this time Mayor Doerfler announced that the City Council would meet in executive session as provided by Article 6252 V.T.C.S.
