HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 09.01.1983 CC-S117 September 1, 1983 The City Council met in special session on the above date at 5:O3 PM with Mayor Pro -tem Carl Doering presiding. The following Councilmen and Officials were present: Eb C. Girvin, Bill Connor, Marvin Lackey, William C. Shell, City Manager Leo Wood, City Secretary Jim Colbert, and Public Works Director W. L. Walden. Mayor Doerfler was absent. Award Bids - Bids on the runway overlay project were reviewed. Motion Airport Runway by Connor and seconded by Shell to award the bid to Project Brannan Paving Co., Inc. of Victoria, Texas, for the amount of $79,120.80. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Mayor Pro -tem Girvin stepped down and Councilman Doering again presided as Mayor Pro -tem. Misc. Motion by Connor and seconded by Lackey to authorize the emergency expenditure, without bids, of up to $25,000.00 to repair a sewer line in Forest Street between 7th Street and 5th Street. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Adjourn There being no further business, on a motion by Connor and seconded by Shell, the meeting adjourned. CARL DOERING, MAYOR PRO -TEM ATTEST: JIM COLBERT, CITY SEC TARY Resolution - Mayor Pro -tem Doering entertained a motion to elect a Williamson County temporary Mayor Pro -tem for this item of business. Motion M.U.D. No. 5 by Lackey and seconded by Connor to elect Councilman Girvin as temporary Mayor Pro -tem. Voting went as follows: AYES: Lackey, Connor and Shell. ABSTAIN: Girvin. Motion carried. J� �1 Mayor Pro -tem Girvin entertained a motion on a resolution consenting to the creation of Williamson County M.U.D. No. 5. Motion by Connor and seconded by Lackey to approve Q a resolution consenting to the creation of Williamson Q County M.U.D. No 5 subject to the City and the Developer entering into an agreement concerning regulation of Williamson County M.U.D. No. 5. Voting went as follows: AYES: Connor, Lackey and Shell. ABSTAIN: Doering. Motion carried. (Ord Book #5, Pages 28 -35) . Mayor Pro -tem Girvin stepped down and Councilman Doering again presided as Mayor Pro -tem. Misc.
