The City Council met in emergency session on the
above date at 7:30 AM with Mayor John C. Doerfler
presiding. The following Councilmen and Officials
were present: Eb C. Girvin, Carl Doering, Marvin
Lackey, Bill Connor, William C. Shell, City Manager
Leo Wood, City Attorney Joe B. McMaster and City
Planner Renee Hanson.
Executive Session After opening the meeting to the public and discussion
of residency requirements for City Council candidates,
Mayor Doerfler announced the City Council would meet
in executive session as provided by Article 6252-17,
V.T.C.S. Following the executive session, the meeting
was reopened to the public.
Election Matters The City Council decided to notify Carroll Sullivan
that he must amend his application to be placed on
the ballot to show residency of six months or more
if such is the fact. Otherwise his name would not
appear on the ballot for the City Officers election
(� of April 2, 1983. The amendment, if any, must be
filed prior to the start of absentee voting.
Q Adjourn There being no further business, on a motion by Shell
Q and seconded by Connor, the meeting adjourned.
