The City Council met in regular session on the above
date at 7:00 PM with Mayor John C. Doerfler presiding.
The following Councilmen and Officials were present:
Eb C. Girvin, Carl Doering, Marvin Lackey, Bill
Connor, William C. Shell, City Manager Leo Wood,
City Secretary Jim Colbert, Public Works Director
W. L. Walden, Tax/Finance Director Barbara Raney
and Planner Renee Hanson.
Minutes Motion by Connor and seconded by Girivn to approve
the minutes of City Council meeting held December 14,
1982, and December 29, 1982. Motion carried by
unanimous vote.
Bills Motion by Lackey and seconded by Connor to approve
payment of all bills over $2,000.00. Motion carried
by unanimous vote.
Reports The City Council approved the monthly reports.
National Street Motion by Doering and seconded by Connor to allow
Rod Association the National Street Rod Association to use San
Gabriel Park for a car show with the City Manager
and Chief of Police to approve the lcoation. Motion
carried by unanimous vote.
Award Bids - Motion by Shell and seconded by Lackey to award the bid
Forklift on the sale of a forklift to the only bidder, Delta
Electric Construction Co., for $300.00 Voting went as
follows: Ayes: Girvin, Lackey, Connor and Shell.
Noes: Doering. Motion carried.
Award Bids - The following bids were received on the over haul of
Overhaul of Hi -Ranger a Hi -Ranger bucket truck:
Commercial Body Corp. $11,835.00
A -Tec, Inc. 13,256.00
Motion by Connor and seconded by Doering to award the
bid to Commercial Body Corp. for $11,835.00. Motion
carried by unanimous vote.
Award Bids - Motion by Lackey and seconded by Connor to award bids
Water & Wastewater on Water and Wastewater supplies to Trans -Tex Supply
Supplies Co., Aqua Utility, Inc., American Utility Supply Co.,
and the Rohan Co., provided the bid on each item
meets specifications. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Award Bids - Motion by Connor and seconded by Shell to split the
16" Water Line bid award on a 16 inch water line and fittings be-
tween American Utility Supply Co., U. S. Pipe and Foundry
and Trans -Tex Supply Co., and to accept an alternate
bid by U. S. Pipe and Foundry if it can be used.
Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Ordinance - No action was taken on this matter.
Williamson County
Calbevision 1st reading
Variance - Motion by Connor and seconded by Shell to approve a
Lot 14, Block B, building line variance from seven (7) feet to 5.6 feet
Reata Trails on the Northwest side lot line of Lot 14, Block B,
Reata Trails. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Preliminary Plat - No action was taken on this matter.

Final Plat - Motion by Connor and seconded by Shell to approve a
River Bend III resolution authorizing the filing of a final plat of
River Bend Subdivision, Unit III, provided no building
permits shall be issued until: (1) curbs where
required on Riverbend between Mesquite and Williams
Drive are provided; (2) portions of Riverbend between
Mesquite and Williams Drive are reworked as required;
(3) the intersection of Mesquite and Riverbend is
reworked to provide concrete valley gutter to properly
drain water to Williams Drive; and (4) curb and gutter
is provided on Oak Lane where required. Motion carried
by unanimous vote. (Ord Book #4, Page 432).
Final Plat - Motion by Doering and seconded by Connor to approve a
Rocky Hollow resolution authorizing the fixing of a final plat of
Estates II Rocky Hollow II subject to a variance in the length
of Verna Spur to 698.9 feet and variances on the
radii of curves 9, 13, and 14 on Verna Spur to 50.0
feet. Motion carried by unanimous vote. (Ord Book
#4, Page 433).
rl Ordinance - Motion by Connor and seconded by Lackey to approve on
Parking in 1100 second and final reading an ordinance prohibiting
block of Austin parking on the west side of Austin Avenue between
Ave., 2nd reading 11th Street and University Avenue between the hours
of 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday through Saturday.
Q Motion carried by unanimous vote. (Ord Book #4,
Q Page 434).
Ordinance - Motion by Connor and seconded by Lackey to approve on
Speed Limits on first reading as an emergency an ordinance zoning for
RM2243, 1st reading traffic and rate of speed therein on RM 2243 in the
as Emergency City Limits of the City of Georgetown. Motion carried
by unanimous vote. (Ord. Book #4, Pages 435,436).
Ordinance - No action was taken on this matter.
Amend Downtown -Park-
ing Ord., 1st read.
Appointments - Mayor Doerler appointed Linda Butler, Rnee Hanson,
Parking Committee Tom Guyton, Jo Ann Allen, Neal Boydston, Joan King,
Clark Thurmond and Gary Clark to a committee to
study parking downtown.
Airport Leases No action was taken on this matter
Utility Service No action was taken on this matter.
Charge
Georgetown Indus- No action was taken on this matter.

Intergovernmental Motion by Connor and seconded by Doering authorizing the
Agreement with Mayor to execute an Intergovernmental Agreement between
County the City and Williamson County. Motion carried by
unanimous vote.
Audit Motion by Connor and seconded by Girvin to approve the
audit of fiscal year 1981-1982. Motion carried by
unanimous vote.
Executive Session The City Council did not adjourn into executive session.
Misc. Motion by Doering and seconded by Girvin to have the engineer-
ing for the Country Club Drainage project to be done by Freese
Nichols. Voting went as follows: Ayes: Girvin, Doering,
Connor and Shell. Noes: Lackey. Motion carried.
Adjourn There being no further business, on a motion by Lackey and
seconded by Connor, the meeting adjourned.
