July 29, 1982
The City Council met in special session on the above
date at 6:30 PM with Mayor John C. Doerfler presiding.
The following Councilmen and Officials were present:
Eb'C. Girvin, Carl Doering, Marvin Lackey, William C.
Shell, City Manager Leo Wood, City Secretary Jim Colbert,
and Public Works Director W. L. Walden. Councilman Bill
Connor was absent.
Executive Session Mayor Doerfler opened the meeting to the public and
announced that the City Council would meet in executive
session as provided under Artice 6252-17, V.T.C.S.
Following the executive session, Mayor Doerfler re-
opened the meeting to the public and announced that the
City Council would reconvene the executive session fol-
lowing the last item of business.
Ordinance - Motiom by Doering and seconded by Lackey to approve on
Rezoning at 1502-15-4 second and final reading an ordinance rezoning property
Williams Dr. RS to at 1502-1504 Williams Dr. from RS to RM -3. Motion
RM -3, 2nd reading carried by unanimous vote. Councilman Shell abstained.
(Ord. Book #4, Pages 321 and 322).
Ordinance - Motion by Shell and seconded by Girvin to approve on
Rezoning of General second and final reading an ordinance rezoning the
Telephone Co. property of General Telephone Co. from RS to I. Motion
RS to I, 2nd reading carried by unanimous vote. (Ord Book #4, Pages 323-324).
Ordinance - Motion by Lackey and seconded by Girvin to approve on
Rezoning of Semcor second and final reading an ordinance rezoning the property
RS to I, 2nd reading of Semcor from RS to I. Motion carried by unanimous
vote. (Ord. Book #4, Pages 329-330).
Ordinance - Motion by Doering and seconded by Shell to approve on
Rezoning of second and final reading an ordinance rezoning the property
Century Industries of Century Industries from RS to I, and that if an ease -
RS to I, 2nd reading ment from General Telephone Company to the City as
recorded in Vol. 878, page 231, of Williamson County
Deed Records, is to be used as access to the property.
It shall be built to City Specifications, paved with
curb and gutter and that a variance is granted to allow
a thirty (30) foot street. The City shall maintain the
street. Motion carried by unanimous vote. (Ord Book #4
Pages 325,326 and 327).
Budget Work Session The City Council worked on the proposed 1982-83 budget.
Motion by Lackey and seconded by Shell to transfer $4,000.00
of unemcumbered appropriated funds in the 1981-82 budget
from the Street Dept. to the Judicial Dept. Motion carried
by unanimous vote.
Executive Session At this time Mayor Doerfler announced that the City Counil
would reconvene in executive session. Following the
executive session, the meeting was again opened to the public.
Adjourn There being no further business, on a motion by Shell
and seconded by Doering, the meeting adjounred.
