HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 06.23.1981 CC-S11 June 23, 1981 The City Council met in Special Session on the above date at 7:00 p.m. with Mayor John C. Doerfler presiding. The following Councilmen and Officials were present: Eb C. Girvin, Carl Doering, Lee Fulkes, William Shell, Joe Atkinson, City Manager Leo Wood, Assistant City Manager W. L. Walden, and City Secretary Jim Colbert. Fuel Tanks at the No action was taken on this matter Airport Preliminary Dev- Discussion on proposed Barbarosa Planned Unit Development was elopment Plan - had. City attorney reported on legalities relative to the proposed The Barbarosa and existing access easements. Of three proposed easements, one across Lot 11 of San Gabriel Heights Subdivision not legally available because it is an easement appurtenant to Boardman Tract and easement parallel to service reoad and IH 35 has been characterized as hazardous for intended Barbarosa use by Texas Highway Department. Numerous residents of San Gabriel Heights voiced opposition to proposed easement across Lot 18 because of safety, traffic -and noise. Copy of letter from Barbarosa developer Foster read indicating Foster's intention to substantially amend and change Barbarosa to a much less dense plan. Motion by Shell to reject present Barbarosa seconded by Girvin and passed by unanimous vote of all council members. Commercial Garbage Assistant City Manager reported to Council on the need to adjust Rate Adjustment commercial garbage rates. No action was taken on this matter.
