June 9, 1981
The City Council met in regular session on the
above date at 7:00 pm with Mayor John C.
Doerfler presiding. The following Councilmen
and Officials were present: ' Eb C. Girvin, Joe
Atkinson, Lee Fulkes, William C. Shell, City
Manager Leo Wood, Assistant City Manager
W. L. Walden, City Secretary Jim Colbert,
Airport Manager Wayne Truxal and Chief of
Police Travis Thomas.
Monthly Minutes and Motion by Doering and seconded by Fulkes to approve
Reports the minutes of City Council meetings held May 12, 1981,
May 20, 1981 and June 1, 1981. Motion carried by
unanimous vote.
Approve b ills Motion by Shell and seconded by Atkinson to approve
General Fund bills in the amount of $28,679.93 and
Utility Fund bills in the amount of $353,998.81. Motion
carried by unanimous vote.
Preliminary RP Development No action was taken on this matter.
Plan - The Barbarosa
Resolution - Advertise for Motion by Shell and seconded by Atkinson to approve
bids on lease at the a resolution authorizing the City Manager to advertise
Airport for bids on a lease of the Airport terminal building and
fuel storage facilities. Motion carried by unanimous
vote. ( See Ord. Book 14, Pages 186 & 187).
Award Bids - Motion by Fulkes and seconded by Atkinson to
Airport lease approve a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute
a lease agreement with Thunderbird Flyers to operate at
the Airport, provided the terms of the lease concerning
fuel tanks is resolved. Motion carried by unanimous
vote. ( See Ord. Book 14, Page 188).
Georgetown Jaycee's - Motion by Shell and seconded by Fulkes to allow the
Williamson County Fair Georgetown Jaycees to conduct the Williamson County
Fair in San Gabriel Park provided they have adequate
liability insurance. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Ordinance - Annexation Motion by Shell and seconded by Atkinson to approve on
of MKT, 2nd reading second reading an ordinance annexing 6.57 acres along
the MKT Railroad. Motion carried by unanimous vote.

Ordinance - Rezoning Motion by Atkinson and seconded by Shell to approve
Lots 3 & 4, Block 7, on second reading an ordinance rezoning lots 3 and 4
Lord Addition -RS to of Block 7 in the Lord Addition from RS to RM -1.
RM -1, 2nd reading Motion carried by unanimous vote. ( See Ord. Book
14, Page 192).
Ordinance - Rezoning Motion by Shell and seconded by Atkinson to approve
South 1/2 block 31, on second reading an ordinance rezoning the South 1/2
Glasscock Addition- of Block 31 in Glasscock Addition from RS to RM -2.
RS to RM -2, 2nd reading Motion carried by unanimous vote. ( See Ord. Book 04,
Page 193).
Ordinance - Motion by Shell and seconded by Doering to approve on
Abandonment of second reading an ordinance abandoning Janis Drive from
Janis Dr., 2nd Shannon Drive to Williams Drive. Motion carried by
reading unanimous vote. ( See Ord. Book #4, Pages 194-196).
Ordinance - Rezoning Motion by Fulkes and seconded by Shell to approve on
at University Ave. second reading an ordinance rezoning property at

Ordinance - No action was taken on this matter.
Variances
Resolution - LCRA Motion by Fulkes and seconded by Atkinson to approve a
Wholesale Power resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Exhibit A of
Agreement the Wholesale Power Agreement with LCRA. Motion
carried by unanimous vote. ( See Ord.: -:Book 04, Pages
202 and 203).
Resolution - Motion by Fulkes and seconded by Atkinson to approve a
Interlocal resolution authorzing the Mayor to execute the Greater
Assistance Agreement Austin Area Organized Crime Control Unit Interlocal
Assistance Agreement. Motion carried by unanimous
vote. ( See Ord. Book 04, Pages 204, 205 and 206).
Ordinance- Motion by Atkinson and seconded by Shell probhibiting the
Glass in Park use of glass beverage containers in City Parks. Motion
(Emergency reading) carried by unanimous vote. ( See Ord. Book # 4, Page 209).
Resolution - Setting Motion by Shell and seconded by Fulkes to approve a
time, date and place for resolution setting the time, date and place for a Public
public hearing on Hearing on the annexation of Thousand Oaks 111 subdivision
annexation of Thousand and adjacent property. Motion carried by unanimous vote.

Appointments - Mayor Doerfler, with the consent of the Council appointed
Planning and Zoning Mike McMaster to replace Andy Prude on the Planning and
Commission Zoning Commission.
Adjourn There being no further business, on a motion by Shell and
seconded by Girvin, the meeting adjourned.
