MAY 4, 1981
The City Council met in regular session on the above
date at 6:45 p.m. with Mayor John C. Doerfler presiding.
The following Councilmen and Officials were present:
Carl Doering, Joe Atkinson, Lee Fulkes, William C.
Shell, City Manager Leo Wood, Assistant City Manager
W. L. Walden and City Secretary Jim Colbert. Councilman
Eb C. Girvin was absent.
Ordinance - Motion by Shell, seconded by Fulkes to approve on second
Lone Star Gas Franchise and final reading an ordinance amending Section 4 of the
Amendment 2nd reading Lone Star Gas Franchise. Motion carried by unanimous
vote. ( See Ord. Book 04, Pages 155 and 156).
Ordinance - Motion by Fulkes seconded by Shell to approve on second
Abandon PUE, Lots I & 2, and final reading an ordinance abandoning Public Utility
Blk. 4, Oak Crest 1, Easements between lots 1 and 2, Block 4, Oak Crest Unit 1.
2nd reading Motion carried by unanimous vote. ( See Ord. Book 04,
Pages 157 and 158).
Ordinance - Motion by Atkinson seconded by Shell to approve on second
Abandon a portion of and final reading an ordinance abandoning a portion of
Thousand Oaks Blvd., Thousand Oaks Blvd. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
2nd reading (See Ord. Book 04, Pages 159 and 160).
Ordinance - Motion by Doering seconded by Fulkes to approve on second
Issuance of Airport Cert. and final reading an ordinance authorizing the issuance of
of Obligation, 2nd reading Certificates of Obligation for improvements at the Airport.
Motion carried by unanimous vote. ( See Book 04, Pages
161-167).
Ordinance - Motion by Doering seconded by Atkinson to approve on second
Issuance of Park Cert. of and final reading an ordinance authorizing the issuance of
Obligation, 2nd wading Certificates of Obligation for Park Improvements. Motion carried
by unanimous vote. ( See Ord. Book 04, Pages 168-174).
Resolution - Motion by Shell seconded by Fulkes to approve a resolution
YCC Contract authorizing the Mayor to execute a contract with Texas
Dept. of Community Affairs for a Youth Conservation Corps
project. Motion carried by unanimous vote. ( See Ord.
Book 4 4, Pages 175).
Enda Powell -Petition No action was taken on this matter,
Adjourn There being no further business, 6n a motion by Doering
seconded by Atkinson, the meeting adjourned.
