HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 10.14.1980 CC-R41 OCTOBER 14, 1980 The City Council met in regular session on the above date at 6:00 PM with Mayor John C. Doerfler presiding. The following Councilmen and Officials were present: William C. Shell, Lee Fulkes, Harry Gold, Carl Doering, City Manager Leo Wood, Assistant City Manager W. L. Walden, City Secretary Jim Colbert, City Building Official Tom Sams and REnee Hanson. MONTHLY MINUTES Motion by Shell seconded by Gold to approve the minutes of AND REPORTS a council meeting held September 9, 1980. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Preliminary Plat- No action was taken on this matter. Q ua i I Meadow IV and V Resolution -Setting Motion by Fulkes seconded by Gold to approve a resolution time and place for setting a Public Hearing on the annexation of Quail Meadow IV Public Hearing on to be held at 6:45 PM, November 13, 1980, in the City Council Annexation of Chambers. Motion carried by unanimous vote. ( See Ord. Book Quail Meadow IV 14, Pages 66 and 67). Resolution setting Motion by Doering seconded by Fulkes to approve a resolution time and place for setting a Public Hearing on the annexation of Quail Meadow V Public Hearing on to be held at 6:45 PM, November 13, 1980, in the City Council annexation of Quail Chambers. Motion carried by unanimous vote. ( See Ord. Book Meadow V 04, Pages 68 and 69). Orolaancr Rezoning 103 Austin Ave. from C-1 to C -2A Ordinance - Abandon Easement -lots 3 & 4 Blk. F, Seranado West II No action was taken on this matter. No action was taken on this matter. Resolution -Procedure Motion by Doering seconded by Gold to approve a resolution for Issuance of Building establishing a review of building permits to be issued in areas Permits under study for zoning changes until January 1, 1981. Motion carried by unanimous vote. (See Book 04, Page 70). Lone Star Gas- Action suspended on this matter. Rate Increase APPROVE BILLS Motion by Gold seconde by Fulkes to approve General Fund bills in the amount of $41,870.98 and Utility Fund bills in the amount of $490,050.96. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Advertise for Bids Motion by Gold seconded by Shell to advertise for bids on the Municipal Park Municipal Park Building in San Gabriel Park. Bids to be opened Building -San November 13, 1980. Motion carried by unanimous vote. ct+ Gabriel Park O V Rezoning -914 No action was taken on this matter. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Advertise for Bids- Motion by Fulkes seconded by Shell to advertise for bids on Imminent Threat projects funded by an Imminent Threat Grant. Motion carried by Grant unanimous vote. Ordinance -Setting Motion by Fulkes seconded by Gold to approve on first reading Price of lots in City as an emergency, an ordinance setting the price of lots in the City Cemetery, 1980 Cemetery, 1980 Addition at $300.00 for a quarter of a lot, to be Addition deposited in General Fund. Motion passed by unanimous vote. (See Ord. Book 04, Page 71). Ordinance- Motion by Gold seconded by Shell to pass on first reading Annexation of MKT, an ordinance annexing 60.67 acres of land adjacent to the lst. Reading MKT right of way. Motion passed by unanimous vote. Ordinance Motion by Doering seconded by Fulkes to pass on first Tax Exemption reading as an emergency an ordinance providing that five - thousand dollars ($5,000.00) of market value of residence homestea:1. of all person sixty-five years of age or older be exempted from ad valoreum taxes. Motion carried by unanimous vote. ( See Ord. Book 14, Page 72).
