The City Council met in special session on the above date at 7:15 p.m.
o'clock with Mayor John Doerfler presiding. The following Council-
men and officials were present: William Shell, Kenneth Olson, Harry
Gold, Lee Fulkes, City Manager Leo Wood, City Secretary W. L.
Walden, CD Coord. Jim Colbert, Dean Libbee and City Attorney
Joe McMaster. Others present were: Faye Lentz, Bernice Perry,
Don Bizzell, Terry Haggerty, A. H. Merchant, H. W. Currington,
Jim Swift, Warren Hall, Hal Lizon, Jeannive Hairburn, Renee
Hanson, Thelma Cunningham, H. W. Cunningham, Al Vance, W. R.
Stump, C. Price, Joan and Martin King, C. H. Steger, Ercel
Brashear and Jim Isbell.
Preliminary Plat A. H. Merchant presented certain hydralic information from
Meadow Park the study made on Smith B. ranch in the Meadow Park Subdivision.
Mr. Merchant and Mr. Tye Collins were asked to meet and tcy
to work out some suitable solution on the drainage problem on
Smith Branch. They were asked to bring some recommendation
back to the next regular council meeting on June 10, 1980.
Chisholm Trail Charles Steger presented a proposal from Chisholm Trail Water
Water Supply Supply to purchase Water from the City of Georgetown. Mayor
Doerfler asked that Carl Doering, Lee Fulkes and Charles Seger
meet and work out the contract and present it to Counci I on
June 10, 1980. Contract for Jonah water Supply to be presented
on the some date.
Land Preser- Motion by Gold seconded by Shell to approve on second and
vation Ord. final reading an Ordinance setting certain requirements for land
preservation and landscaping. Motion carried by a unanimous
vote. ( See Ord. Book #4, Pages 39, 40, 41).
Tax Exemption Motion by Fulkes seconded by Olson to approve on second
Ordinance and final reading an Ordinance amending the Homestead
Exemption Ordinance. Motion carried by a unanimous vote.
( See Ord. Book #4, Page 42).
Abandom. Esmt. No action taken on this matter until a new easement is given
Lot 2, Bbk 11 to the Ci ty.
Williams IV
City Secretary Motion by Shell seconded by Gold to relieve W. L. Walden
of the duties of City Secretary and to appoint Jim Colbert to the
position of City Secretary. Motion carried by a unanimous vote.
Motion by Shell seconded by Fulkes to appoint W. L. Walden
as Assistant City Manager. Motion carried by a unanimous vote.
Appointments to be effective on June 1, 1980.
There being no further business on a motion by Shell seconded by
Fulkes the meeting adjourned.
