HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 01.22.1980 CC-S441 Called City Council Meeting January 22, 1980 The City Council met in special session on the above date at 6:30 p.m. with Mayor Pro -Tem Harry Gold presiding. The following councilmen and officials were present: William Shell, Carl Doering, Kenneth Olson Lee Fulkes, City Manager Leo Wood, City Secretary W. L. Walden, Community Development Coordinator Jim Colbert, City Attorney Joe McMaster and Dean Libbee. Others present were: Terry Hagerty, Don Bizzell, J. S. Whatly, Herb Hanson, Renee Hanson, Patton Duncan and Betty Duncan. Speed Zone Motion by Doering seconded by Shell to approve on first and Ordinance RM 2243 final reading an Ordinance zoning for traffic and rate of speed on RM 2243. Motion carried by a unanimous vote. ( See Ordinance Book 03 - Pages 483-484). County Resolution , The Council reviewed a Resolution passed by Williamson County on South Fork Dam which requested that immediate consideration be given to the commencement of flood control projects on the South San Gabriel River. Citizen Partici- Motion by Doering seconded by Fulkes to adopt a Resolution pation Plan amending artice V of Citizens Participation for the City of George - Resolution town. Motion carried by a unanimous vote. ( See Ordinance Book 03 - Page 488). Harold Parker No action taken on this matter. Zoning There being no futher business on a motion by Doering seconded by Fulkes the meeting adjourned. Harry Gold, Mayor Pro -Tem ATTEST: City Secretary Abandon Esmt. Motion by Fulkes seconded by Olson to approve on second and Lot 7, Blk. 6 final reading an Ordinance abandoning a utility easement between Serenada East IV Lots 6 and 7, Block 6 of the Serenada East Unit IV Subdivision. Motion carried by a unanimous vote. (See Ordinance Book 03 - C.7 Page 485). V Animal Ordinance Motion by Shell seconded by Olson to approve on second and Revison final reading an Ordinance revising Sections 5-20, 5-21, 5-22 (d) and 5-27 (1), (2) and (3) of the Animal Ordinance. Motion carried by a unanimous vote. (See Ordinance Book 03 - Pages 486-487).
