HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 01.08.1980 CC-R439 City Council Meeting January 8, 1980 The City Council met in regular session on the above date at 7:00 p.m. with Mayor Pro -Tem Harry Gold presiding. The following councilmen and officials were present; Lee Fulkes, William Shell, Kenneth Olson, Carl Doering, City Manager Leo Wood, City Secretary W. L. Walden, Community Deve- lopment Coordinator Jim Colbert, City Attorney Joe McMaster and, Others Present were: Don Bizzell, Terry Hagerty, Randy Heckmon, Renee Hanson, Herb Hanson, Jeannive Fairburn and Linda Cisneros. Monthly Minutes Motion by Doering seconded by Shell to approve the minutes of the and Reports Council Meeting held on December 11, 1979 with the following correction. (Master Plan -Motion by Olson seconded by Gold to approve Sector 788 of the Master Plan as presented with the understanding that the zoning was a proposal but that the property owned by(brist Lutheran Church remain zoned as it presently is. Motion carried by a unanimous vote. Motion by Fulkes seconded by Doering to approve General Fund b ills CZ in the amount of $9,484.75 and Utility bills in the amount of $41,353.13 1714with the exception of that portion of the bill from Steger and Bizzell O that pertains to the drainage projects in Quail Valley and River Bend VSubdivisions. Motion carried by a unanimous vote. V Ellen Hunter Motion by Olson seconded by Fulkes to not accept bid from International International Systems. Motion carried by a unanimous vote. Systems Country Club Motion by Doering seconded by Fulkes to accept the bid from Parker Drainage Bid and Rogers in the amount of $27,500.00. Any expra base material used and Engineering fees are not included in this bid. Contractor to dress construction site with sandy loom and City to sod the area. Motion carried by a unanimous vote. Lease Agreement Motion by Doering seconded by Fulkes to approve a 25 year lease Georgetown ISD between the City of Georgetown and Georgetown ISD for the property where the football field is located. Lease to run for 25 years beginning June 1, 1982, for a fee of $1.00. Motion carried by a unanimous vote. HE B Mayor Pro -Tem Harry Gold proclamed January 15, 1980 as H. E. B. Proclamation day in the City of Georgetown. Abandon Esmt. Motion by Shell seconded by Olson to approve on first reading an Lot 7, Blk. 6 Ordinance abandoning a utility easement between lots 7 & 8, Block 6 Serenada East 1V of Serenada East, Unit IV. Motion carried by a unanimous vote. Speed Limit Motion by Fulkes seconded by Shell to approve on first and final San Jose & Pine reading an Ordinance setting 20 M. P. H. speed limits on San Jose, Street Pine and East 22nd, streets. Motion carried by a unanimous vote. (See Ordinance Book 03- Page 476-477). Advertise for Motion by Doering seconded by Shell to authorize City Manager bids on 2 police Leo Wood to advertise for bids on 2 police cars. Specifications to cars call for alternate bids on two and four carburetors. Bids to be opened at next regular council meeting. Motion carried by a unanimous vote. Animal Ordinance Motion by Olson seconded by Shell to approve on first reading an Revision Ordinance revising the Animal Ordinance now in effect. Motion carried by a unanimous vote. 440 Resolution for Motion by Shell seconded by Doering to adopt a Resolution setting Public Hearing a time, place and date for a public hearing on the annexation of North Gabriel propertyolong the County Road from the North Fork Dam to RM 2338. Annexation Motion carried by a unanimous vote. (See Ordinance Book 03, Page 478-479-480). Resolution Motion by Olson seconded by Fulkes to adopt a Resolution YCC Program authorizing the Mayor to execute a contract with The Texas Dept. of Community Affairs for the 1980 YCC Program. Motion carried by a unanimous vote. (See Ordinance Book 03, Page 481). Resolution- Motion by Fulkes seconded by Shell to adopt a Resolution author - Federal Grant izing the Mayor Pro -Tem to make application for grant assistance Assistance under under Public Law 92-500. Motion carried by a unanimous vote. Public Law 92-500 (See Ordinance Book 03 Page 482). There being no futher business on a motion by Shell seconded by Fulkes the meeting adjourned.
