Called City Council Meeting
October 22, 1979
The City Council met in special session on the above date with Mayor John C.
Doerfler presiding at 4:15 p.m. The following councilmen and officials were
present: Harry Gold, Lee Fulkes, Kenneth Olson, William Shell, Carl Doering,
City Manager Leo Wood, City Secretary W. L. Walden and Community
Development Coordinator Jim Colbert. Others present were: Gerald Shaw,
T. C. Pitcock, Angela Acton, David Ross, Casey Tuiggs, Renee Hanson, Joel
Hollis and Mark Mitchell.
United Artists- Motion by Shell and seconded by Gold to authorize United Artists to use
Use of Airport the Georgetown Municipal Airport for the filming of a portion of a motion
picture. Filming to be done on the 2nd and 9th of November. Voting went
as follows: AYES: Shell, Gold, Fulkes and Olson. No: Doering. Motion
carried.
Lone Star Gas Motion by Gold and seconded by Shell to approve an Ordinance on second
Rate Ordinance and final reading increaseing Lone Star Gas Rates and Service Charges.
Motion carried by unanimous vote. (See Ordinance Book 03 - Page #461-465)
�T+ Fuel Flowage- Motion by Fulkes and seconded by Gold to approve an Ordinance on
Ordinance second and final reading which levies a 2 cent per gallon tax on aircraft fuel

delivered at the airport. Motion carried by unanimous vote. (See Ordinance
V Book #3 - Page #465)
Utility Rate Motion by Fulkes and seconded by Olson to approve an Ordinance on first
Ordinance and final reading which increased electric, water and garbage rates. Motion
carried by unanimous vote. (See Ordinance Book 03 - Page #466-468)
There being no further business on a motion by Gold and seconded by
Olson the meeting adjourned.
