HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 10.09.1979 CC-R431 October 9, 1979 The City Council met in regular session on the above date at 6:00 p.m. with Mayor John C. Doerfler presiding. The following councilmen and officials were present: Kenneth Olson, Carl Doering, Lee Fulkes, Harry Gold, William Shell, City Manager Leo Wood, City Secretary WA. Walden, Community Development Coordinator Jim Colbert, and City Inspector Tom Sams. Others present were: Hal Lilon, Bill Kochs, Jim Eichelberger, Jim Caskey, Mr. & Mrs. Eric Bartz, Bill Jones, Robert Duprey, Bob Allen, Herb Hanson, Renee Hanson, Bill Corbett, S. S. Sulr, Ford Ainsworth, Mrs. Buster Lloyd, Vivian Wood, Bill Smith, Jean Howell, Joe Webb, Ed Girvin, Al Vance, Kathleen Slaughter, Larry Crumpton, Sue Peterson, Mark Mitchell, Doris Curl and Gene Terrell. Monthly Minutes Motion by Gold and seconded by Fulkes to approve minutes of Council and Reports Meetings held on September 11, 18 and 28, 1979. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Motion by Gold and seconded by Shell to approve General Fund bills in the amount of $13,798.59 and Utility Fund bills in the amount of $307,434.98. Motion carried by unanimous vote. University Hills An Ordinance rezoning a portion of University Hills from RS -Residential Rezoning to RM -1 Milti-Family was read. Motion by Doering and seconded by Shell to 0 disapprove the Ordinance. Motion carried by unanimous vote. U U University Hills Motion by Shell and seconded by Gold to approve an Ordinance rezoning Rezoning a portion of University Hills from RS Residential to RM -2 Residential Multi - Family. The voting went as follows:AYS: Gold and Shell. Noes: Fulkes, Doering and Olson. The motion failed. Vacate University No action on this matter. Hills Abandonment- Motion by Gold and seconded by Shell to approve an Ordinance on East 25th St. second and final reading abandoning East 25th Street in the Highland Park Addition. Motion carried by unanimous vote. (See Ordinance Book 03 - Page #455) Final Plat- Motion by Doering and seconded by Olson to adopt a Resolution authorizing Williams VI the filing of the final plat of Williams VI Addition. Motion carried by unanimous vote. (See Ordinance Book 03 - Page 0456) Rezoning -Glass- No action on this matter. cock Addition Annexation Motion by Shell and seconded by Fulkes to approve an Ordinance on Ordinance- second and final reading annexing Williams VI Addition into the city limits. Wi I I iams VI Motion carried by unanimous vote. (See Ordinance Book 03 - Page 0457-459) Appointment- Mayor Doerfler, with the consent of the council, appointed Paul Williams Airport Board to the Airport Board. Fuel Flowage Motion by Olson and seconded by Gold to adopt an ordinance on first Fee -Airport reading which levies 2 cent per gallon tax on aircraft fuel at the airport. Motion carried by unanimous vote. (delivered) NDB & Master Tom Sams gave a report on the progress of the NDB and Master Plan for Plan Report the Georgetown Airport. Lone Star Gas Motion by Shell and seconded by Olson to approve an Ordinance on first Rate Ordinance reading increasing Lone Star Gas Rates and Service Charges. Motion carried by unanimous vote. 432 Single Tax Appraisal Motion by Gold and seconded by Fulkes to adopt a Resolution rbminating Nominee Sam H. Brady to the Board of Directors of the Williamson County Ap;raisal District. Motion carried by unanimous vote. (See Ordinance Book 3 - Page +460) Street and Water Motion by Doering and seconded by Gold to authorize City Manager Line -Hart Street Leo Wood to advertise for bids on construction of streets and a water line in the Hart Street Area. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Advertise for Bids- Motion by Shell and seconded by Doering to authorize City Manager Sanitation Truck Leo Wood to advertise for bids on a Sanitation Truck Chassis. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Resolution -Setting No action on this matter. date, time and Place Public Hearing Utility Rate W. L. Walden reported that an Ordinance was being prepared which Increase would increase utility rates to offset the LCRA rate increase now in effect. Ordinance to be presented at a special council meeting later this month. At this time Mayor Doerfler announced that the council would meet in Executive Session tnder Article 6252-17, Section (2 (b) 3), V.T.C.S. Following the Executive Session the council meeting was again opened to the public. There being no further business on a motion by Shell and seconded by Gold the meeting adjourned. U_ C, A+2 J n C.
