Called City Council Meeting
September 28, 1979
The City Council met in special session on the above date at 4:OOp.m.
with Mayor John Doerfler presiding. The following councilmen and
officials were present: Harry Gold, Lee Fulkes, Carl Doering, William
Shell, Kenneth Olson, City Manager Leo Wood, City Secretary W. L.
Walden and Community Development Coordinator Jim Colbert. Others
present were: Cathy Barrett, Quentin Hix, Nell Hahn, Renee Hanson,
Jack Hopper and other interested persons.
Lone Star Gas Motion by Olson and seconded by Shell to authorize a Lone Star
Rate Increase Gas Company rate increase as follows: Residential Gas (Minimum $3.75
for 1 MCF), Commercial Gas (Minimum $6.00 for 1 MCF), $10.00
reconnect fee with a total increase of $70,715.00. Ordinance to be pre-
sented at the next regular council meeting. Motion carried by unanimous
vote.
Child Care Kathy Barrett gave the final report on the Child Care Survey funded
Survey by the City of Georgetown Revenue Sharing Funds.
Single Tax Appraisal No action taken on this item.
Appointments- Mayor Doerfler, with the consent of the council, appointed Donna
Historical Preser- Josie, Larry Bailey, Neill Wilkerson and Genevieve Atkins to the Historical
vation Committee Preservation Committee wi th terms to expire October 13, 1981.
Abandon Easement- Motion by Gold and seconded by Fulkes to approve an Ordinance
Serenada East II on second and final reading abandoning a utility easement between lots
7 & 8, Block 01 in Serenoda East Unit 11. Motion carried by unanimous
vote.
Abandon North Motion by Gold and seconded by Fulkes to approve an Ordinance on
Main Street second and final reading abandoning that portion of North Main Street
lying north of East Spring Street and south of Old Highway 81. Motion
carried by unanimous vote.
Abandonment - Motion by Shell and seconded by Gold to approve an Ordinance
25th Street on first reading abandoning 25th Street in the Highland Park Addition.
Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Annexation Ordinance - Motion by Gold and seconded by Shell to approve an Ordinance
Williams VI on first reading annexing Williams VI Subdivision into the city limits.
Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Intergovernmental Motion by Shell and seconded by Gold to authorize City Manager
Agreement Leo Wood to sign an Intergovernmental Agreement with Williamson
County to seal coat city streets with County Equipment. Motion carried
by unanimous vote.
There being no further business on a motion by Olson and seconded
by Shell the meeting adjourned.
