Called City Council Meeting
August 30, 1979
The City Council met in special session on the above date at 4:00 p.m. with
Mayor John Doerfler presiding. The following councilmen and officials were
present: Kenneth Olson, Carl Doering, Harry Gold, Lee Fulkes, City Manager
Leo Wood, City Secretary W. L. Walden, and Community Development Coordinator
Jim Colbert. Others present were: Rodney Montgomery, Warren Hall, Don
Bizzell, Charles Steger, Mark Mitchell, Renee Hanson, Mr. and Mrs. Price
and John Walters.
Country Club City Manager Leo Wood reported on a meeting with Harold Parker, Donald
Drainage Parker, Mayor John Doerfler, Don Bizzell, Dale Davis and himself in regard to
the storm drainage in the Country Club Additions.
Motion by Doering and seconded by Gold for the city to participate in
storm drainage construction with Harold Parker in the Country Club Addition
area. The city to spend up to $25,000.00 on this project. Motion carried by
unanimous vote.
Traffic Control Motion by Gold and seconded by Fulkes to approve on second and final
Ordinance reading an Ordinance authorizing existing and new traffic control devices.
Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Rezoning 2103 . Motion by Gold and seconded by Doering to approve on second and final
San Jose reading an Ordinance rezoning 2103 San Jose from RS to C-1 Commercial.
Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Abandonment Motion by Olson and seconded by Gold to approve on second and final
Street & Easment reading an Ordinance abandoning a portion of Royal Oaks Drive and a utility
Royal Oaks easement in Royal Oaks Subdivision. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Rezoning Lots 1-8, Motion by Fulkes and seconded by Gold to approve on second and final
Blk. 16 -North- reading an Ordinance rezoning Lots 1-8, Block 16, Northtown Addition from
town Addition RS to C2 -A Commercial. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Abandoning Motion by Gold and seconded by Fulkes to approve on first and final
Easements reading an Ordinance vacating and abandoning two utility easements on the
Bob Norris property. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Jonah Water No action on this matter.
Supply
Chisholm Trail City Manager Leo Wood reported on a meeting with Charles Steger,
Water Supply Robert Chambers, Mayor Doerfler and himself.
Building Study Mayor Doerfler appointed a committee of Carl Doering and Kenneth Olson
to study the feasibility of acquiring the property at 206 East University. This
Committee to report back at the next regular council meeting.
There being no further business on a motion by Gold and seconded by
Fulkes the meeting adjourned.
