HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 06.25.1979 CC-SCalled City Council Meeting J une 25, 1979 The City Counci I met in special session on the above date at 4:00 p.m. with Mayor John Doerfler presiding. The following Councilmen and officials were present: Harry Gold, Lee Fulkes, William Shell, Kenneth Olson, Carl Doering, City Manager Leo Wood, City Secretary W. L. Walden, and Community Development Coordinator Jim Colbert. Others present were: L.A. Rutledge, L.E. Leeler, Fannie W. Leeler, Ruth Sawyer, Newton Sawyer, Jewel Carter, Marguerite Lester, Alma Ratliff, Grace Young, Frances Mayo, Glenn Longley, G.C. Fought, B.B. Smith, Quentin Hix, Bill Smith, Wilbur Calloway, and John Walters. Lone Star Gas Lone Star Gas Company officials presented new rate schedules Co -Rate Increase and information requested by the City Council. They were notified that a public hearing would be held on the rate increase on the 10th day of July, 1979 at 6:30 p.m. Jonah Water Commissioner Liddell presented a Resolution providing for the Cb Supply -Resolution reciprocal sale of water between the City of Georgetown and the Jonah d, Water District. Mayor Doerfler asked that the City Attorney review the OResolution and that it be placed on the next regular agenda. VResolution- Motion by Gold and seconded by Shell to adopt a Resolution ap- Small Cities proving the provisions of the 1979Small Cities Discretionary Grant Program. Grant Motion carried by unanimous vote. Annexation- Motion by Gold and seconded by Olson to approve on second and North San final reading an Ordinance annexing property up and along each side of Gabriel the North San Gabriel River.
