Called City Council Meeting
January 16, 1979
The City Council met in special session on the above date with Mayor John C.
Doerfler presiding at 4:00 p.m. The following councilmen and officlas were
present: Lee Fulkes, Harry Gold, Carl Doering, Ken Olson, William Shell,
City Manager Leo Wood, City Secretary W. L. Walden, Chief of Police
Travis Thomas and Community Development Coordinator Jim Colbert. Others
present were: James Draeger, Don Hewlett and John Walters.
Accept Bids - Chief of Police Travis Thomas reported that the bid from Draeger Motor
Police Cars Company, for the two police cars, did not meet the specifications. The Ford
car did not have the required horsepower.
Motion by Doering and seconded by Gold to buy one ford and one
chevrolet police car if they could be purchased at the bid price. Voting
went as follows: AYES: Gold, Doering, Olson. NOES: Fulkes, Shell.
Motion carried.
Mayor Doerfler announced that there would be a special council
meeting held on Tuesday, February 6, 1979 at 4:00 p.m. to discuss future
da annexations and other matters.

There being no further business on a motion by Shell and seconded by
U Doering the meeting adjourned.
