May 9, 1978
The City Council met in regular session on the above date with
Mayor John Doerfler presiding. The following Councilmen and officials
were present: Lee Fulkes, Carl Doering, Kenneth Olson, William Shell,
City Manager Leo Wood, City Secretary W. L. Walden, Community
Development Coordinator Jim Colbert and City Attorney Joe McMaster.
Others present were: Skip Morse and Jay Sloan.
Monthly Minutes Motion by Shell and seconded by Doering to approve the minutes of
and Reports the council meetings held on April 11, 1978 and April 17, 1978. Motion
carried by unanimous vote.
Motion by Doering and seconded by Fulkes to approve General Fund
bills in the amount of $30,262.67 and Utility Fund bills in the amount of
$151,005.88. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Annexation Ordinance- Motion by Olson and seconded by Shell to approve on second and final
Williams V reading an Ordinance annexing Williams V Subdivision into the City of
Georgetown. Motion carried by unanimous vote, (See Ordinance Book 03 -
Page 0227-228)
Rezoning Ordinance- Motion by Shell and seconded by Olson to approve on second and final
Clamp Addition reading an Ordinance rezoning the property located in the Northwest 1/4 of
Block I in the Clamp Addition from RS to C-1. Motion carried by unanimous
vote. (See Ordinance Book 03 - Page 0228-229)
Final Plat - City Motion by Shell and seconded by Fulkes to adopt a Resolution
Cemetery approving a Final Plat of the 1978 South Addition to the IOOF Cemetery.
Motion carried by unanimous vote. (See Ordinance Book 03 - Page0229)
Rezoning -Property Motion by Shell and seconded by Doering to approve on first reading
on RM2243 an Ordinance rezoning 4,64 acres of land located on RM 2243 between
Wickes and Georgetown Railroad from RS to I. Motion carried by unanimous
vote.
Motion by Fulkes and seconded by Olson to approve on first reading
an Ordinance rezoning 2.0 acres of land located on RM 2243 between
Wickes and Georgetown Railroad from RS to I. Motion carried by unanimous
vote.
Appointments Mayor Doerfler, with the consent of the council, appointed Donna
Josie, Larry Bailey,. Neill Wilkerson and Genevieve Atkins to the Historical
Commi ttee.
Mayor Doerfler, with the consent of the council, appointed Pete
Boufford, Riley Robbins and Bill Henderson to the Tax Equalization Board,
Advertise for Bids- Motion by Doering and seconded by Shell to authorize City Manager
Water & Sewer Leo Wood to advertise for bids on the South Sewer Loop Project and
Project the Raw Water Line Project. Bids to be opened on June 13, 1978. Motion
carried by unanimous vote.
Electrical Fuel Motion by Doering and seconded by Fulkes to approve a 100%
Adjustment electrical fuel adjustment on the May billing. Motion carried by uanimous
vote.
There being no further business on a motion by Shell and seconded
by Olson the meeting adjourned.
