May 23, 1977
The City Council met in special session at 4:00 p.m. on the above date
with Mayor John Doerfler presiding. The following councilmen and officials
were present: Harry Gold, Carl Doering, Ken Olson, William Shell, City
Manager Leo Wood and City Secretary W. L. Walden.
Quit Claim Deed Motion by Gold and seconded by Shell to adopt a Resolution authorizing
Resolution Mayor Doerfler to sign a Quit Claim Deed to a 15 foot by 120 foot strip of
land along the east side of the James Wilkerson tract in Block 39 in the City
of Georgetown in exchange for a 20 foot wide easement along the north side
of the above mentioned tract. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Annexation Motion by Shell and seconded by Gold to approve on second and final
Ordinance- reading an ordinance annexing Williams IV Addition into the city limits. Motion
Williams IV carried by unanimous vote. (See Ordinance Book 03 - Page +150-152)
Traffic Ordinance Motion by Gold and seconded by Doering to approve on second and final
reading an Ordinance designating the Chief of Police as the authority to deter-
mine and designate street markings and sign placement in the city. Motion
carried by unanimous vote. (See Ordinance Book #3 - Page #152-153)
d'+ House Numbering Motion by Gold and seconded by Shell to approve on second and final
Ordinance reading an Ordinance requiring house numbers to be placed on all buildings
that have street addresses. Motion carried by unanimous vote. (See Ordinance
U Book #3 - Page #154)
Flood Hazard Motion by Shell and seconded by Gold to approve on second and final
Prevention reading an Ordinance updating the original Flood Plain Ordinance. Motion
Ordinance carried by unanimous vote. (See Ordinance Book 0 3 - Page +155-161)
There being no further business on a motion by Gold and seconded by
Shell the meeting adjourned.
