March 11, 1977
The City Council met in special session at 3:00 p.m. on the above date
with Mayor John Doerfler presiding. The following councilmen and officials
were present: Harry Gold, Carl Doering, J. D. Wininger, William Shell,
D. W. Scott, City Manager Leo Wood and City Secretary W. L. Walden.
Others present were: Charles Steger, Don Bizzell, Jay Sloan and Ron Draeger.
Vehicle Bid Councilman Shell reported that the committee appointed to study the
Acceptance vehicle bids recommended that Draeger Motor Company be awarded the bid on
the fire truck chassis, Compton Motor Company be awarded the bid on the
City Manager car and Georgetown Auto Sales be awarded the bid on the
police car.
Motion by Wininger and seconded by Gold to accept the recommendation
of the committee and award the respective bids. Motion carried by unanimous
vote.
Resolution -Publish Motion by Doering and seconded by Gold to adopt a Resolution authorizing
Notice on Sale the Mayor to publish a notice of intent to issue certificates of obligation in
of Certificates the amount of $250,000.00 in connection with improving the City's waterworks
of Obligation system and related matters. Motion carried by unanimous vote. (See Ordinance

Advertise for Motion by Shell and seconded by Doering to authorize City Manager Leo

V Bids -Water Wood to advertise for bids on a 2,000,000 gallon ground water storage tank.
Storage Bids to be opened at a special council meeting to be held at 4:00 p.m.,
Tank April 4, 1977. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Resolution- Motion by Gold and seconded by Shell to adopt a Resolution recognizing
Acknowledgeing citizens for work done during the past year. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Citizens Work
There being no further business on a motion by Wininger and seconded
by Scott the meeting adjourned.
