The City Council met in special session at 4:00 p.m. on the above date
with Mayor John Doerfler presiding. The following councilmen and offi-
cals were present: Harry Gold, William Shell, D. W. Scott, J. D. Wininger,
Carl Doering, City Manager Leo Wood, City Secretary W. L. Walden,
and City Attorney Joe McMaster. Others present were: Buddy Adams,
Donna Jay, Jay Sloan, Jim Coffman and Bob Stanton.
Water Storage After discussion as to financing and construction of the storage tank,
Facilities a motion was made by Doering and seconded by Shell to construct a
2,000,000 gallon water storage tank on land donated by Bob Stanton
and to finance the project by issuing Certificates of Obligation not to
exceed $300,000.00. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
City Attorney Joe McMaster was instructed to draw up Ordinances
on new water rates, water taps, sewer taps and an Ordinance setting a
$50.00 per lot filing fee on all new Subdivision Final Plats. The money
derived from the $100.00 increase on all tap fees and the $50.00 per lot
firing fee to be put into a Water and Sewer Capitol Improvement Fund.
There being no further business on a motion by Shell and seconded
by Wininger the meeting adjourned.
