Bids -C D Drainage
Projects
July 27, 1976
The City Council met in special session on the above date with
Mayor John C. Doerfler presiding. The following councilmen and officials
were present: Carl Doering, J. D. Wininger, Harry Gold, William Shell,
D. W. Scott, City Manager Leo Wood, City Secretary W. L. Walden,
City Attorney Joe McMaster and City Inspector Tom Sams. Others present
were: Bi I i Schott, Donna Jay, Buddy Adams, Eddy Eaton and Bob Wener-
berger.
The following bids were opened on the Community Development
Drainage Projects in San Jose, West 13th & 14th Streets and Ash Street.
Eaton Enterprises $163,940.00
Wernerberger Construction $156,607.00
Leroy Psencik $137,490.00
Russell D. Parker $119,396.00
Engineer Bill Schott is to extend all of the bid calculations and report
back at the regular council meeting to be held on the 10th day of
August 1976.
Annexation Ordinance- Motion by Scott and seconded by Gold to approve on first reading
Northwood Oaks an ordinance annexing 16.95 acres known as Northwood Oaks. Motion
carried by unanimous vote.
Jaycee Building Site No action was taken until the survey and lease is presented.
Conveying Land to Motion by Shell and seconded by Doering to approve on first reading
Hospital Authority a Resolution authorizing the execution of a Quit Claim Deed to property
owned by the City of Georgetown located adjacent to Scenic Drive and
being part of Outlot 45, containing 0.520 acres. Motion carried by un-
animous vote. (See Ordinance Book 03 - Page #90)
Texas Highway Depi.- Motion by Doering and seconded by Wininger to approve a Resolution
Resolution authorizing the installation and maintenance of a traffic signal at the
intersection of US Highway 081 and RM 2338. Motion carried by unaimous
vote. (See Ordinance Book #3 - Page #90)
Minimun Health & Motion by Gold and seconded by Shell to approve on second and
Housing Co de final reading an Ordinance amending the Minimum Health and Housing
Standards Ordinance. Motion carried by unanimous vote. (See Ordinance
Book 03 - Page 084)
Standard Mechanical Motion by Gold and seconded by Shell to approve on second and
Code Ordinance final reading an Ordinance amending the Standard Mechanical Code Ord-
inance. Motion carried by unanimous vote. (See Ordinance Book #3 -
Page #85)
Gas Code Ordinance Motion by Wininger and seconded by Scott to approve on second and
final reading an ordinance amending the Standard Gas Code Ordinance.
Motion carried by unanimous vote. (See Ordinance Book #3 - Page 085)
Fire Hazard Motion by Wininger and seconded by Scott to approve on second
Ordinance and final reading an ordinance setting forth rules and regulations to improve
public safety by promoting the control of fire hazards. Motion carried
by unanimous vote. (See Ordinance Book 03 - Page #86)
Construction & Motion by Gold and seconded by Wininger to approve on second and final
Demolition reading an Ordinance amending an Ordinance providing regulations on
Ordinance construction, alteration, removal demolition, equipment, use and occup-
ancy, location, maintenance and structures. Motion carried by unanimous
vote. (See Ordinance Book #3 - Page #87)

Swimming Pool Motion by Gold and seconded by Shell to approve on second and final
Ordinance reading an Ordinance regulating the safety and welfare design, construction
or installation, repair or alterations of swimming pools, public or private.
Motion carried by unanimous vote. (See Ordinance Book #3 - Page #88)
Airport Board Motion by Doering and seconded by Shell to approve on second and final
reading an Ordinance creating an Airport Advisory Board. Motion carried by
unanimous vote. (See Ordinance Book #3 - Page #89)
Rezoning Motion by Doering and seconded by Wininger to disapprove on second and
Ordinance- final reading an Ordinance rezoning 1810 Austin Ave. from C-1 to C -2A. Motion
1810 Austin Ave. carried by unanimous vote.
TML Motion by Gold and seconded by Scott to approve an Ordinance allowing
Ordinance city employees to buy back time in the Texas Retirement System. Motion
carried by unanimous vote. (See Ordinance Book 03 - Page 091)
1976-1977 Motion by Gold and seconded by Shell to approve the Appropriation
Budget Ordinance for the ensuing fiscal year beginning September 1, 1976. Motion
carried by unanimous vote.
