December 29, 1975
The City Council met in an emergency meeting on the above date
with Mayor Pro -Tem Dee Scott presiding. The following councilmen and
officials were present: Harry Gold, John Doerfler, City Manager Leo
Wood, City Secretary W. L. Walden and City Attorney Joe McMaster.
Others present were: Jay Sloan, Buddy Adams and Donna Jay.
Appointment of Motion by Doerfler and seconded by Gold to appoint a Mayor to fill
Mayor and Council- the unexpired term of Mayor Crawford and a Councilman to fill the place
man of the Councilman that is appointed to be Mayor. Both appointments to
be effective until the next regular election. Motion carried by unanimous
vote. Appointments to be made at the next regular council meeting
on January 12, 1976.
Closing Offices Motion by Gold and seconded by Doerfler to close all city offices
and services at noon on December 30, 1975 and the flags to be flown at
half mast for one week. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
There being no further business on a motion by Gold and seconded by
Doerfler the meeting adjourned.
