The following councilmen and officials were present: John Doerfler, Harry Gold, J. D. Wininger, D. W. Scott, William Shell, City Manager Leo Wood, City SecretaryW L. Walden, City Attorney Joe B. McMaster and City' Inspector Tom Sams. Others present were: Fred Stroud, Don Hewlett, Jennifer Robbins, Bill Schott, James Draeger, Buddy Adams, Curtis Anderson, Jack Dixon, Carroll Johnson, Frank Hubbard, Linda Graves, and other interested persons. Monthly Minutes Motion by Gold and seconded by Shell to approve the minutes of the City and Reports Council meeting held on September 8, 1975. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Motion by Gold and seconded by Wininger to approve General Fund bills in the amount of $7.995.50 and Utility Fund bills in the amount of $151,842.75. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Bids -Pickup The following bids were opened to furnish the city of Georgetown with a 1976 one-half ton pickup: Draeger Motor Company - $4,394.99 O Compton Motor Company - $4,299.00 Motion by Scott and seconded by Shell to accept the low bid of $4,299.00 U submitted by Compton Motor Company. Motion carried by unanimous bid. U Bids -Garbage The following bids were opened to furnish the City of Georgetown with Truck a garbage truck: Compton Motor Company - $8,757.00 Draeger Motor Company- $8,425.00 Motion by Scott and seconded by Wininger to accept the low bid of $8,425.00 submitted by Draeger Motor Company. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Bids -Fire The following bids were opened to furnish the City of Georgetown with Truck a booster fire truck: Draeger Motor Company - $7,473.85 Compton Motor Company $7,326.00 Motion by Wininger and seconded by Shell to accept the low bid of $7,326.00 submitted by Compton Motor Company. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Bids -Fire Truck The following bids were opened to furnish the City of Georgetown with Equipment booster fire truck equipment: Fred Stroud - $12,969.00 Fire Fox Corporation - $24,708.00 W. A. Neal - $11,500.00 Simms Fire Equipment - $15,699.00 Mayor Crawford appointed a committee of Curtis Anderson, Carroll Johnson, Jesse Lozano, City Councilman John Doerfler, City Councilman William Shell and City Manager Leo Wood to study bids and report back at a special called meeting to be held on October 24, 1975 at 4:00 p.m. Bids -Airport Motion by Doerfler and seconded by Wininger to accept Bob Stanton's bid Lease on the Airport lease as outlined in the agreement. No other bids were received. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Wi I I iamson Motion by Wininger and seconded by Scott to approve a proposal by County Williamson County Cablevision to furnish its customers an additional channel Cablevision with movies only. This channel will carry no advertising. Cost to the cable - vision customer will be an additional $7.00 per month. Motion carried by unanimous vote. 292 United Way Linda Graves and Frank Hubbard made a presentation on United Way. Golf Cart Easement- Motion by Wininger and seconded by Gold to approve on first reading an Country Club IV ordinance vacating and abandoning a golf cart easement between Lots 15, 16, Bid Advertise- Motion by Gold and seconded by Shell to authorize City Manager Leo Wood ment Intake to advertise for bids on the raw water intake structure at North Fork Lake. Structure Motion carried by unanimous vote. Bids to be opened at the regular council meeting to be held December 8, 1975. Airport Zoning Motion by Gold and seconded by Wininger to pass a Resolution creating Board a joint airport zoning board to be known as the Georgetown -Williamson County Resolution Joint Airport Zoning Board. Motion carried by unanimous vote (See Ordinance Book 03 - Page 029) Appointments- Motion by Shell and seconded by Wininger to appoint the following members Historical to the Historical Preservation Committee: Preservation Mrs. William Luedecke - Term ending October 13, 1976 Committee Mrs. Don Scarbrough - Term ending October 13, 1977 Carl Doering - Term ending October 13, 1977 Edward Evans - Term ending October 13, 1977 Joe Long - Term ending October 13, 1978 Motion carried by unanimous vote. Urban Renewal The member to the Urban Renewal Board was not appointed at this time. Board Citizens Advisory Mayor Crawford, with the consent of the City Council, appointed Mrs. Committee Hershel Shepherd and William Luedecke to the Citizens Advisory Commission. Appointments 100% Electrical Motion by Scott and seconded by Gold to approve an electrical fuel adjust - Fuel Adjustment ment charge of 100% on the October billing. Motion carried by unanimous vote. (See Ordinance Book 43 - Page 024-26) Haas Estates- Delvin Haas made a request to install a water system in the Haas Estates. Water System The Council advised Haas to compare the cost of installing his own system to that of connecting to the city's water system. General Motion by Doerfler and seconded by Wininger to approve a Resolution Transportation adopting the General Transportation Plan for Williamson County. Motion carried Plan by unanimous vote. (See Ordinance Book 03 - Page 0 26) Utility Meter Motion by Wininger,and seconded by Shell to approve on second and final $ Seal reading an Ordinance prohibiting damaging, destroying, tampering or adjusting Ordinance utility meters or seals. Motion carried by unanimous vote. (See Ordinance Book 03 - Page 027) Resolution- Motion by Gold and seconded by Scott to approve a Resolution rescinding Rescinding an Ordinance providing for one way traffic on Ash Street between Tenth Sireet One Way and University Avenue. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
