January 13, 1975
The City Council met on the above date with Mayor Joe E. Crawford
presiding. The following councilmen and officials were present: Harry Gold,
Hubert Brock, William R. Eanes, J. D. Wininger, Dee Scott, City Manager
Leo Wood, City Secretary W. L. Walden and City Attorney Joe McMaster.
Others present were: Jeff South, Tom Sams, Gary Hinesley, John Gamble,
Annette Jones, Don Parker, Mrs. Leo Wood and Bill Mintz.
Monthly Minutes Motion by Wininger and seconded by Scott that the mi nutes of City Council
and Reports Meetings held on December 9, December 19 and December 30, 1974, be approved
as presented. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Motion by Eanes and seconded by Brock that General Fund bills in the
amount of $5,874.89 and Utility Fund bills in the amount of $75,316.13 be
approved and paid. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Jehovah's Witness Don Parker, representing the Georgetown Congregation of Jehovah's
Church -Janis Dr. Witness Church, requested that the Church be allowed tobuild a portion of
Janis Drive beginning at Williams Drive and going west for a short distance.
The street is needed in order to enter the parking lot for the new church building.
Motion by Scott and seconded by Eanes to approve the request. Motion
carried by unanimous vote.
Advertise for Motion by Eanes and seconded by Wininger to authorize City Manager-
Bids on Airport Leo Wood to advertise for bids to construct two new hangers at the Georgetown
Hangers Airport. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Advertise for Bids Motion by Wininger and seconded by Eanes to authorize City Manager
to Lease 77 Acres Leo Wood to advertise for bids to lease approximately 77 acres of city owned
City Owned Land land located on the back park road. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Zoning Ordinance An Ordinance to rezone portions of Lots 4 and 5 of Block 2 in the Highland
Fred Fisher Park Addition from R -S to C-1 Commercial was presented to the City Council.
Motion by Scott and seconded by Wininger to approve the ordinance. (See
Ordinance Book #2 - Page #438)
Speed Zone Motion by Eanes and seconded by Wininger to approve a speed zone
Ordinance- ordinance, from the Texas Highway Department, for the west frontage road of
Frontage Road IH 35 from FM 2338 north for O.195 miles. Motion carried by unanimous vote.

46% Electrical Motion by Scott and seconded by Gold to approve an electrical fuel adjust -
Fuel Adjustment ment charge of 46% which is to be added to the 26.50/6 base rate increase giving
Charge a total of 72.5% increase on the January billing. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Garbage
An Ordinance pertaining to garbage collection and payment of garbage
Ordinance
bills was presented to the City Council. Motion by Gold and seconded by Scott
to approve the ordinance on the first reading. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Communi ty
The Counci I meeting was opened to discussion by anyone present in regards
Development
to suggestions or requests on the programs and use of the first years funding from

the Community Development Act. It was brought out that the Citizens Advisory
Commission had unanimously approved the use of the first years funding for
the raw water intake structure located on the North Fork Lake.
There being no miscel I aneous items of business, Mayor Crawford announced
that from this point forward the meeting would be a closed meeting under Section
2 (b), 1 (a), where the attorney's advice is sought by the governing body on
pending or contemplated litigation.,

There being no further business on a motion by Wininger and seconded by
Brock the meeting adjourned.
