HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 11.21.1974 CC-S264 4 November 21, 1974 The City Council met in special session on the above date with Mayor Joe E. Crawford presiding. The following Councilmen and officials were present: Harry Gold, Dee Scott, Hubert Brock, City Manager Leo Wood, City Secretary W. L. Walden and City Attorney Joe McMaster. Others present were: County Commissioners W. F. Schlickeisen, Wesley Foust and Wesley Johnson, Judge C. L. Chance, Ben Kuria, Mayor Calvin Janek from Taylor, Taylor City Manager Jimmy Dodson, Mayor Robert Chambers from Florence and other interested citizens. Ambulance A discussion was held on the financing and operating of an ambulance service Service for Georgetown, west Williamson County or the total county. Dr. Benold stated that this should be a county wide service financed and operated by Williamson County. Mayor Calvin Janek of Taylor agreed with Dr. Benold. At the request of Mayor Crawford, Mayors and City Officials of Williamson County are to meet with the County Commissioners at 2:00 p.m., November 25, 1974, in the County Court Room. Radio Grant A Resolution for the 0 ty of Georgetown to set aside $742.75 as a cash Resolution match to meet grant requirements and to be sent to the Capital Area Planning Council upon acceptance and funding by the Governor's Office, Texas Criminal Justice Council was presented. Motion by Gold and seconded by Brock that the Resolution be passed. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
