HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 06.03.1974 CC-SJune 3, 1974 The City Council met in called session on the above date with Mayor Joe E. Crawford presiding. The following councilmen and officials were present: Harry Gold, William Eanes, Hubert Brock, J. D. Wininger, Dee Scott, City Manager L eo Wood, City Secretary W. 0 Walden and City Attorney Joe B. McMaster. Others present were: Andy Welch and Curtis Adrian. Canvass Votes- Mayor Crawford and the City Council canvassed the .votes cast at Bond Election the City Bond Election held June 1, 1974, and found the results to be as follows: Resident Qualified Voters Who Own Taxable Property: For Against Proposition 01 (Electrical) 352 216 Proposition 02 (Waterworks) 375 194 Proposition #3 (Sub Fire Station) 341 225 Proposition 04 (Street Const. - Urban Renewal) 325 242 Proposition #5 (Waterworks -Urban Renewal) 331 235 Proposition 06 (Sewer System -Urban Renewal) 332 233 All Other Resident Qualified Voters: For Against Proposition #1 (Electrical) 50 21 Proposition 02 (Water Works) 51 20 Proposition #3 (Sub Fire Station) 54 22 Proposition #4 (Street Const. -Urban Renewal) 46 25 Proposition 15 (Waterworks -Urban Renewal) 46 25 Proposition #6 (Sewer System -Urban Renewal) 47 24 Motion by Gold and seconded by Wininger to adopt the Resolution declaring the results of the election. Motion carried by unanimous vote. (See Ordinance Book No. 2 - Page 0399-402) Date of Bond Sale The City Council decided to sell the Bonds at the regular Council Meeting to be held on the 12th day of August, 1974. There being no further business on a motion by Eanes and seconded by Brock the meeting adjourned. ATTEST:
