May 6, 1974
The City Council met in called session on the above date with
Mayor Joe E. Crawford presiding. The following councilmen and officials
were present: Harry Gold, William Eanes, Hubert Brock, J. D. Wininger,
Dee Scott, City Manager Leo Wood, City Secretary W. L. Walden, and
City Attorney Joe McMaster. Others present were: Curtis Adrian,
Ed Evans, Riley Robbins, Dianne Brown, Andy Welch, Rodney Montgomery,
Jesse Lozano and Ernest Lincoln.
Revenue Sharing- Motion by Brock seconded by Wininger to use the planned revenue
Street Overlay sharing money from the entitlement period July 1, 1974 through June 30,
1975 for street overlay. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Bond Election- Motion by Wininger seconded by Brock to delete Proposition #4
Recall (City Warehouse) and Proposition #6 (Andice Road) from the recalled
Bond Election. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Motion by Brock and seconded by Wininger to recall the Bond Election
and that the election be held on Saturday, June 1, 1974, Motion carried.
Mr. Adrian was instructed by the City Council to proceed in drawing
up the Bond Election Order to be presented to the City Council on May 13,
1974.
Water, Sewer, Motion by Gold seconded by Wininger to implement the new utility
Garbage Rate rates in the June 1974 billing. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Increase The rates are as follows:
Revised Water Rates:
First 3,000 gallons
Next 5,000 gallons
Next 10,000 gallons
Over 18,000 gallons
Revised Sewer Rates:
Domestic Rates:
4 Fixtures or less
Each additional fixture
Commercial Rates:
2 Fixtures or less
Each additional fixture

$2.50 Minimum

Commercial:
All old commercial rates from $2.00 through $15.00 are to be doubled.
Any old commercial rate over $15.00 will be increased by $20.00.
All commercial rates to be established by the City Office.
There being no further business on a motion by Brock and seconded
by Scott the meeting was adjourned.
