HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 04.30.1974 CC-S242 April 30, 1974 The City Council met in called session on the above date with Mayor Joe E. Crawford presiding. The following councilmen and officials were present. Harry Gold, Hubert Brock, J. D. Wininger, Dee Scott, City Manager Leo Wood, City Secretary W. L. Walden and City Attorney Joe McMaster. Others present were: David True, Andy Welch, Bill Schoot, Curtis Adrian and Bill Williams. Canvass of Bond Mayor Crawford and the City Council canvassed the votes cast at Election the City Bond Election held April 30, 1974, and found the results to be as follows: Resident Qualified Voters Who Own Taxable Property For Against Proposition 01 (Electrical) 280 294 Proposition 02 (Waterworks) 288 283 Proposition f13 (Sewer S ystem) 291 285 Proposition #4 (City Warehouse) 254 318 Proposition 05 (Sub Fire Station) 284 291 Proposition #6 (Andi ce Road) 237 339 Proposition #7 (Street Construction -Urban Renewal) 245 330 Proposition #8 (Waterworks -Urban Renewal) 248 326 Proposition #9 (Sewer System -Urban Renewal) 251 323 All Other Resident Qualified Voters Motion by Brock seconded by Wininger to adopt the Resolution declar- ing the result of the election. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Motion carried by unanimous vote. 243 Notice to Bidders- Motion by Wininger seconded by Scott to adopt a Resolution authorizing Neighborhood the City Manager to publish notice to bidders for the construction of certain Facility improvements to existing community center and notice and intention to issue warrants in payment of all or a part of the contract price. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Revised Comm- New rental rates for the Community Center to become effective on unity Center- June 16, 1974, was presented to the City Council. Rental Rates The new rates are as follows: 1. Entire Building and Two Kitchens $75.00 2. 1/2 of Building and One Kitchen $40.00 3. All fees to be paid in advance when reserving the building. 4. The Ministerial Alliance may reserve the Community Center free of charge once each fisical year. Motion by Scott and seconded by Wininger to adopt the rental fees as shown above. Motion carried by unanimous vote. There being no further business on a motion by Brock and seconded by Wininger the meeting adjourned. ATTEST: The following organizations are to receive the use of the Community Center free of charge one time each year and thereafter the charge will be $40.00 per day. 1. School CZ 2. Girl Scouts 3. Boy Scouts 4. 4- H U 5. Garden Club U The following organizations will have the use of the Community Center free of charge at all times. 1. Georgetown Chamber of Commerce 2. Georgetown Fire Department 3. Texas Highway Patrol Motion by Scott and seconded by Wininger to adopt the rental fees as shown above. Motion carried by unanimous vote. There being no further business on a motion by Brock and seconded by Wininger the meeting adjourned. ATTEST:
