Crawford .presiding. The following councilmen and officials were present, Hubert Brock, Harry Gold, William Eanes, J. D. Wininger, Dee Scott, City Manager Leo Wood and City Secretary Claud Eads. Others present were Norma Harris, Bob Morelle, Ed Zuchnick, Bill Buchanan, Rodney Montgomery, Jane Montgomery, Bill Conners, Gary Clarke, James Lackey, I. M. Hausenfluck and Bodie McCormick. Monthly Motion by Gold and seconded by Eanes that minutes of council meetings Minutes held July 10 and July 24, 1972 be approved as presented. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Monthly Motion by Gold and seconded by Eanes that General fund bills in the Bills amount of $4,148.44 and Utility bills in the amount of $43,823.81 be approved and paid. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Gas and Oil The following bids were opened for one years supply of gas and oil: Bids Lackey Oil Company Inc. - $7,949.66 Humble Oil and Refining Co. - $8,280.28 Gulf Oil Company - $8,040.12 Mobil Oil Company'- 68,261.50 Motion by Eanes and seconded by Wininger that Lackey Oil Company Inc. be awarded the bid to supply oil and gas to the City of Georgetown for one year. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Latson Cont.- Motion by Brock and seconded by Eanes that Estimate No. 1 from Est. #1 Latson Construction Company in the amount of $6,768.76 be paid, this amount represents part of the contract in the Urban Renewal Area for sub -grade work. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Urban Renewal On a motion by Wininger and seconded by Brock a resolution was passed Resolution - whereby the City accepted the low bid of $95,373.75 by the Leroy Psencik Water & Sewer Company, for sewer and water work in the Urban Renewal Area. The City (Ordinance Book #2 - Work of Georgetown's part of the project will be $25,151.00. Page 286) Airport Mot n by Eanes and seconded by Scott that the 487.482 acres of Annexation City Airport land be annexed to the City of Georgetown and Annexation Ordinance be passed on its first reading. Motion carried by unanimous vote. (Ordinance Book No. 2 - Page 287) Advertise for Motion by Gold and seconded by Eanes that bids be received to over - Over -lay on . lay Park Road from entrance at Dairy Hill through park and south from low Park Road water bridge up College Street to 7th Street. Specifications to be outlined by City Manager Wood. Motion carried by unanimous vote. F. E. Holloman - W. H. Mullins, Engineer for the City of Georgetown, requested that Extension F. E. Holloman, contractor on Southeast sewer loop, be granted an extension on the sewer contract through November 26, 1972. The project was -to be completed July 26, 1972.
