January 24, 1972
The City Council met in called session on the above date with
Mayor Pro -tem Hubert Brock presiding. The following councilmen and
officials were present, William Eanes, Harry Gold, J. D. Wininger,
Joe Crawford, City Manager Leo Wood, Asst. City Manager Claud Lada
and City Attorney Joe McMaster. Others present were Mrs. Herbert Baker,
Architect Roger Erickson, Richard Mittanck, Bill -Buchanan, Bill Forest Jr.,
Edward Lee Evans, Leo Forsvall, Edwin Schneider, Jesse Lozano, Rodney
Montgomery, Virgil Carlson, Larry Rosenblad and Neal McCormick.
Advertise for
Motion by Wininger and seconded by Gold that the City advertise for
Bids on Fire
bids for remodeling fire station. Bids to be opened March 13, 1972,
Station
at 7:30 p.m.. Motion.carried by unanimous vote.
Royal Oaks
An amendment to the Royal Oaks Estates plat was presented by Bill
Estate Plat
Amendment
Forest Jr., for councils approval.
Motinn by Wininger and seconded by Lanes that the above amendment
be adopted. Votes as follows: Ayes: Eanes, Gold and Wininger. Noes: None.
Councilman Joe Crawford abstained from voting.
Library
A Library Resolution was read by Mayor Pro -tem Brock, whereby

the Georgetown Public Library would be eligible for grants.
Motion by Gold and seconded by Eanes that the Resolution be approved.
Motion carried by unanimous vote. (See Ordinance Book No. 2 - Page 266
Library Board Motion by Crawford and seconded by Wininger that Harry Gold be
appointed to the Community Library Board. Motion carried by unanimous
vote.
Urban Renewal A planning report was given to the council on the revised Urban
Plan Renewal Plan. (Report as follows:)
MOTION was made by Mr. Andy Prude to recommend to the City Council
approval of the plan changes to the currently approved Urban Renewal
Plan in accordance with and as identified by the document entitled
"Modified Urban Renewal Plan, Errata Adendum to Rev. 2, Rev. 3, South
San Gabriel Area, Georgetown, Texas," said modified plan setting forth
the changes for the project more particularly being and known as TLC.
R-102. Upon being seconded by Mr. Lee Fulkes, the motion was passed by
all members present.
Motion by Wininger and seconded by Crawford that Council adjourn.
Motion carried by unanimous vote.
PUBLIC HEARING
Mayor Pro -tem Brock then called the council back into session for
a Public Hearing to consider the Urban Renewal Modified Plan.
Edward Lee Evans, Chairman of the Urban Renewal Board, presented
the modified Urban Renewal Plan to council for their consideration.
Motion by Gold and seconded by Wininger that Urban Renewal Plan #3
be adopted. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
