JUNE 14, 1971
The City Council met in regular session on the above date with
Mayor Jay C. Sloan presiding. The following Councilmen and officials
were present, William Lanes, Harry Gold, J. U. Wininger, Hubert Brock,
City Manager.Leo Wood, Asst. City Manager Claud Eads, and City Attorney
Joe McMaster. Others present were Virgil Carlson, James Draeger,
Bill Buchanan, Boger Erickson, Norma Harris, Elanor Cook and Richard
Mittanck.
Minutes and
Minutes of council meetings held on May 10 and May 31, 1971,
Monthly Bills
were approved as presented. Motion by Gold and seconded by Eanes that
San Gabriel
Utility Bills in the amount of $24,638.01 and General Fund bills in
Park
the amount of $5,692.72 be approved and paid. Motion carried by unanimous
vote.
Garbage Truck
The following bids were opened for a Garbage truck chassis and body.
Chassis & Body
of $629.00 to Bradshaw & Associates for work on the well pump be paid.

Motion by Gold and seconded by Wininger that low bids be accepted
on the garbage body and chassis. Draeger was low bidder on the chassis
and Hobbs Trailers was low bidder on the body. Lotion carried by
unanimous vote.
Zoning
The Zoning Committee voted unfavorably on the application to
Committee
change lots 10, 11, and 12 in Crestview Unit IV Subdivision from HS
Recommendation
to RM districts.
The council accepted the zoning recommendation. The vote was
three against and one in favor of change.
Annexation The Annexation Ordinance on South I11 35 was read by caption
Ordinance for the second reading. Motion by Gold and seconded by Lanes that
for South the Ordinance be passed on its second and final reading. Motion
IH 35 carried by unanimous vote. (See Ordinance Book No. 2 - Page 247-248)
Jonah Water City Manager Leo Wood gave a report to the Council on the Jonah
System Report Hural Water system. Manager Wood told the Council they were interested
in buying water from the City of Georgetown.
Motion by Lanes and seconded by Gold that Manager Wood contact
the authorities of the Jonah Water district and explain the citys
proposal and report back to the council if they were interested. Motion
carried by unanimous vote.
Landscaping
A bill in the amount of $300.00 was presented to the Council for

consideration and payment for landscaping the Municipal Garden in
San Gabriel
San Gabriel Park.

Motion by hold and seconded by Brock that the bill be approved and
paid. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Bradshaw &
Motion by Brock and seconded by Gold that the bill in the amount

of $629.00 to Bradshaw & Associates for work on the well pump be paid.
Motion carried by unanimous vote.

Motion by Gold and seconded by Brock that final bill from First
west Company
Southwest Company, in the amount of $10,960.21 for services and sale

Roger Erickson
Motion by Gold and seconded by Wininger that the bill from Roger
Bill
Erickson, Architect for the Police Station, in the amount of $1,369.35
be approved and paid. Motion carried by unaimous vote.

Austin Motion by Brock and seconded by Gold that a bill from Austin Arm -
Armature ature Works in the amount of $148.96 for motor service be paid. Motion
Works Bill carried by unanimous vote.
There being no further business on a motion by Wininger and seconded
by Gold the meeting adjourned.
