Southwest Industrial Electrical Construction Company - Pearsol, Texas
$22,437.00
Motion by Brock and seconded by gold that bid be awarded to
Southwest Industrial Electrical Construction Co., after Manager Wood
and Electrical Superintendent Willie Robinson check bid. Motion
carried by unanimous vote.
Annexation An annexation ordinance for I.H. 35 South to the middle of Rabbit
of IH 35 Hill overpass was presented to the council.
Motion by Eanes and seconded by Wininger that the ordinance be
passed and approved. Motion carried by unanimous vote. (See Ordinance
Book #2 - Page 247-248)
City of An agreement between City of Georgetown and City of Round Rock
Round Rock as outlined by Mayor Sloan, Councilman Joe Crawford and City Attorney
Agreement Joe McMaster was presented to the council.
Motion by Brock and seconded by Wininger that agreeement be accepted
and submitted to the City of Round Rock for their approval. (See Ordinance
Book #2 - Page 249)
4 -Way Stop Cheif of Police John Shearin requested that the council approve
Lights 4 -way stop lights at Main and 8th Street and at Main and 7th Street,
due to the many recent accidents at these locations.
Motion by Crawford and seconded by Eanes that above lights be
approved if crosswalks would be included. Motion carried by unanimous
vote.
School Bus Cheif Shearin also recommended to the Council that a school bus
Ordinance ordinance be passed.
Motion by Brock and seconded by Gold.that the above ordinance be
passed and approved. Motion carried by unanimous vote.(See Ordinance
Book #2 - Page 246-247)
Citizens Mayor Sloan read a letter from Jeff Campbell, Chairman of the
Advisory Citizens Advisory Committee: The letter stated that the Citizens
Committee Advisory Board recommends to the Council that the Chamber of Commerce
Letter assist them in a Downtown Beautification Project.
Mayor Sloan suggested that the council offer support and assist
in getting an organized program underway.
Report on Mayor Sloan reported that the City Manager had made progress in
Dust Problem putting emulsion on all the gravel streets in the West part of the City
and was keeping the dust problem under control.
There being no further business on a motion by Crayford and seconded
by Gold the meeting adjourned.

The City Council met in called session on the above date with
Mayor Jay C. Sloan presiding. The following councilmen and officials
were present William Eanes, Harry Gold, Joe eraw1ord, J. D. Wininger,
}Hubert Brock, City Manager Leo Wood, Asst. City Manager Claud Eads,
City Attorney Joe McMaster, Electrical Superintendent Willie Robinson,
and Architect Roger Erickson. Others present were Don Goodnight,
Vaughn Sanders, Mrs. Elanor Cook, Norma Harris and Richard Mittanck.
Police
The following bids were opened for construction of a Police
Station
Building.
Bids
Base bids were as follows:
Donald Goodnight $24,060.00
Matthews Construction Co. 36,287.00
W. D. Anderson 41,848.00 .
Motion by Eanes and seconded by Brook that the low bid of
$24,060.00 submitted by Donald Goodnight be accepted. Motion carried
by unanimous vote.
Electrical
The following bid was opened for Electrical work in the Oak Crest
Work Bid
Addition.
