HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 04.19.1971 CC-S164 April 19, 1971 The City Council met in called session on the above date with Mayor Jay C. Sloan presiding. The following Councilmen and officals were present, William Eanes, Harry Gold, J. D. Wininger, Hubert Brock, Joe Crawford, City Manager Leo Wood, Asst. City Manager Claud Eads, and City Attorney Joe B. McMaster. Others present were Norma Harris, Bill Buchanan and Jim Cole. Mahan . Mayor Sloan read a letter from Mr. Ronald Mahan's attorney with Attorney's respect to sewer easement across his property. Mr. Mahan stated that he letter would not give the city a sewer easement as proposed by present plans but he stated that if the city would change the routing of the sewer line that he would consider granting the easement. Review of Mayor Sloan and City Attorney McMaster then informed the Council that Watkins Mr. Grady Watkins and his attorney would meet with City officals on Easement Wednesday the 21st of April to dsicuss his easement and letter contract with the City in an effort to solve these problems without going to court. City Attorney Joe McMaster then presented to the Council resolutions for condemnation and other matters concerning the above. Motion by Brock and seconded by Eanes that above resolution be passed. Motion carried by unanimous vote.(See Ordinance Book No. 2 - Page 243 - 245) There being no further business on a motion by Wininger and seconded by Gold the meeting adjourned. ATTEST: Jay C.
