HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 09.15.1970 CC-R1`46 SL:PTEhIBEIi 15, 1970 The City Council met in regular session on the above date with Mayor Jay C. Sloan presiding. The following Councilmen and officials were present, Hubert Brock, ]carry hold, Wm. It. Lanes, J. 1). Wininger, Joe Crawford, City Manager Leo Wood, Assi. City Manager Claud Lads, and City Attorney Joe McMaster, Others present were Roger Erickson, kill Buchanan, Sam Taff, and Skip Mills. Minutes of Council meetings held August 10 and august 17 were approved as -presented. 11onthly Bills Motion by Gold and seconded by Wininger that General Fund Bills in the amount of $7,612.01 and Utility Bills in the amount of $35,610.31 be approved and paid. Notion carried by unanimous vote. Electrical Motion by Gold and seconded by Earles that,a bill to R.T.E. Corp. in bond Program the amount of $1,650.00 for Electrical Bond Program be approved and paid. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Alvin Braun motion by E"nes and seconded by Brock that a five year lease to Lease Alvin Braun on the Georgetown Auction Sales be approved, subject to approval of City Attorney. Mr. Braun agrees to spray for flies and odor consistently. Mr. Braun also agreed to pay X150.00 per year for lease of land near Auction Barn. Motion carried by unanimous vote. (See Contract File) City of hound Motion by Brock and seconded by Gold that the City of Georgetown Rock Contract enter into contract with the City of hound ltock,on a trail basis, to take care of.thiw garbage at a charge of 615.00 per day from October 1, 1970 through December 31, 1970. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Transformer Motion by Crawford and seconded by Eunes that bids be let for Bid 70 transformers to be opened October 12, 1970. These will complete the Electrical conversion program in Northt.own. Motion carried by unanimous vote. A Ton Pick-up Motion by Gold and seconded by Wininger to advertise for bids `Iwo -way Radio on a :;- ton pick-up and a two-way radio, for the Sewer Department, to be opened October 12, 1970. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Motheral Inc. A bill in the amount of $106.00 from Motheral Inc. was presented to the Council for repaires on the air conditioner in the Georgetown Library Building. Council deei.ded not to pay the bill. Drainage A drainage problem at Country Club Road and Williams Drive near Problem the J. C. Labenski property was discussed. No action was taken. Police Station Plans for construction of the police station and fire station was Plans discussed by Architect Roger Erickson. The Council waspleased with proposed plans and advised lir. Erickson to go ahead with the prograrp. There being no further business on a motion by Eanes and seconded by Crawford the meeting adjourned.
