Eanes, llatry Gold, llubert Brock, Doyle Lyda, A. F. Davis, City Manager Leo Wood, Asst. City %tanager Claud Eads, L. C. Porche, Joe B. McMaster -City Attorney, David C. Spivey, W. L. li.autt, Dr. Douglas Benold, Harold Parker, Ed Neff, Gilbert Bredthauer, James Draeger, and Ed king with The Williamson County Sun. Mli.nutes of the meeting held November 17, were approved as presented. Motion by Gold and seconded by ]lanes that Utility bills in the amount of $22,381.47 and General Fund .Bills in the amount of $19,038.18 be approved and paid. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Pick -tip Bids Sealed bids on a 1970 pick-up were opened and tabulated as follows. Smith Motor Company, Taylor $1,888.03 Henna Motor Company, Austin 1,961.00 Dependab-le Motors, Austin 1,890.00 Compton Motors, Geor-etown 11795.00 Draeger Motor Co., Georgetown 1,974.00 Wm. Co. Equipment Co., Taylor 21127.25 Radio Bids Sealed Bids on a Mobil Radio were opened and tabulated as follows. R.C.A. $620.00 General Electric 721.00 P Mayor Sloan appointed Brock, Lyda, and City Manager Wood to examine bids and check specifications on Fbove bids and report results at our next meeting. Jeff Campbell Jeff Carcpbell, chairman -of Citizens Advisory committee, Citizens recommended that a seminar be conducted dealing wi.tb drugs and Advisory narcotics. Mr. Campbell proposed toliave a meeting of this nature sometimes in Feb. of 1970. The Council stated that they were in favor of having such a seminar and asked A:r. Campbell to get more details dnd bring back for final approval. Food Handlers Motion by Davis and seconded by Eanes that an Ordinance Ordinance. concerning food chandlers in the City of 1;eorgetown. Presented by Dr. Benold the Ordinance carried by uninamous vote. (Ordinance Boot: No. 2 - Page 160) Zoning Harold Parker asked the Council to amend the Zoning Ordinance Ordinance that requires a set back of 25 feet on each side of corner lots to 10 or 15 feet. The Mayor suggested that City Manager Wood meet with Mr. Virgil Carlson,with the Urban Renewal,and llarold Parker and review zoning and report back to the Council at a later date. Lone Star Gas Mr. Spivey, Air. Rautt, and Mr. Porche discussed at leiibt}i possibility of the Council authorinzing a increase in Gas rates in the City of Georgetown. Mayor Sloan stated that more information was needed and they are to supply this information at our next regular meeting.
