• The City Council met on the above date in called session, Mayor Jay
C. Sloan presiding. The following Councilmen and officials were present:
William H. Eanes, Harry isold, A. F. Davis, Hubert Brock, City Manager
Leo Wood, Assistant City Manager Claud Eads, City Attorney Joe B. McMaster,
and Corporation Court Judge R.F.B. Morse. Also present were: Chamber
of Commerce President Vaughn Sanders, Bill Buchanan, Barry Brown, James
Itehler and Mr. Karpenko with T.A.C.
Airport A RESOLUTION WHEREBY THE CITY
Grant OF GEORGETOWN, WILLIA14SON COUNTY,
TEXAS, AGREES TO ACCLTT ORIGINAL
GRANT AGREEMENT WITH TEXAS
AERONAUTICS COMMISSION WHEREBY SAID
CITY SHALL RECEIVE 50% OF TOTAL
COST OF ILE-SURFACING OF RUNWAYS AND
TAXIWAYS AT GEORGETOWN MUNICIPAL
AIRPORT.
(Resolution listed in full in Ord Book II, Page 146.
Motion by Gold and seconded by Brock that above resolution be accepted.
Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Airport The following bids were submitted for slurry seal on part of streets
Re -surfacing and runways and taxi -ways on Georgetown Airport as follows:

Council did not accept any of above bids. Councilmen Brock and
Lyda and City Manager Wood were requested to review bids and report
back to council at a later date.
Crestview
Motion by Brock and seconded by Eanes that City of Georgetown
Unit 3
accept the map and plat of Crestview Unit No. 3. Motion carried
by unanimous vote.
Motion by Eanes and seconded by Davis that City of Georgetown
accept annexation petition and Crestview No. 3 be approved at next
meeting. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Country Club
Motion by Gold and seconded by Eanes that City of Georgetown
Acres III
accept map and plat -of Country Club Acres Unit 3. Motion carried
by unanimous vote.
Motion by Eanes and seconded by Davis that City of Georgetown
accept annexation plat of Country Club Acres Unit No. 3. Motion
carried by unanimous vote.
Fire Truck
Motion by Davis and seconded by Brock that City call for
Equipment
sealed bids on fire truck equipment to be mounted on new 1969
Ford chasis. Sealed bids to be opened at regular council meeting
July 14th. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Clean -Up
Vaughn Sanders discussed the possibility of Chamber of Commerce
Campaign
and Sheriff's Possee having a clean up campaign. Mayor suggested
that persons that could should attend meeting to be held in Austin
in reference to clean up programs for surrounding cities of Austin.

Neighborhood Neighborhood Facilities Program was discussed by Urban Renewal
Facilities Director Virgil Carlson. No action was taken by council.
There being no further. business, on motion by Gold and seconded by
Brock, meeting adjourned.
