The ity Council met in called session on the above date, Mayor
Jay C. Sloan presiding. The followin'i councilmen and officials were

airport Airport Lease proposals from the following were read:
Lease S. K. 11olmes, Taylor, Texas
Browing Aereal Service, Austin, Texas
Aviation flying Center, Inc., Austin, Texas
Bobby Stanton
3'otion by Lyda and seconded by Davis that airport be leased to
Jim Boutwell. Votes as follows: .lyes: William It. Lanes, Harry Gold,
Hubert Brock, Doyle Lyrla and 1,. Di:vis. Noes: None.
Library \r. M lt, Library Engineer discussed the pros arid cons related
Location to location of library downtown and out of business area.
0 Mr. Ult recommended that library be located where the I.O.O.F.
Lodge building is located, also known as old Davis buil0ing.

'Motion by Brock and seconded by lanes that Library building be
located on site where I.O.O.F. Lod;;e is presently located.

Jotion carried by unanimous vote.
',1`nter Ution by Brock and seconded by Lanes that an extra work orc?er
Tower in tine amount of -22,700.00 be added to original contract with Joe
Sharpe in order to cover additional expense incurred in repairing and
palntim,, rust in the lees and bottom of water tower. Votes as follows:
.lyes: Lames, Gold, Brock, Lyda and Di.vis. Noes: None.
The above climm e in r. Sharpe's contract was recommended by less
.ludson and city manager Leo 1-ood.
City ',;ayor Jay C. Sloan appointed the following:
Officials Air. L. 1:. 13enold as City health Officer for term of one year.
Claud Eads as City S.cretary and Treasurer for term of one year.
C.'b. Sanders as City Tax Assessor and Collector for term of one year.

Airport 1layor suggested that we ask representatives from Texas Aeronautics
Runways Corai1ission to meet with the Council and discuss black topping airport
runways at some future meeting.
Less Hudson stated that hot mix was best to pave airport runways
and taxi strips.
ltestrooms ,Motion by Gold and seconded by Brock that bill for 6974.10
Hardball for rest rooms at Hardball field in San Gabriel park be approved
field and paid. Motion carried by unanitaous vote.
Fire Ins. Mayor su.pgested that City Manager 'c"'ood check with State Fire Ins.
1�ey ltate Cotmnission and determine the amount of increase in fire insurance
premiums which.will incur if city does not buy additional fire truck
and key rate is increased.
1toller Council stated that there would be a char,,e of 010.00 per hour
Spreader for City's roller with operator and w10.00 per day for Asphalt spreader.
