December 16, 1968
The City Council met in called session on the above date, Mayor
Jay C. Sloan presiding. The following councilmen and officials
were present: William It. Lanes, Barry Gold, Hubert Brock, Doyle
Lyda, A. F. David, Assistant City (Manager Claud bads and City Attorney
Joe B. McMaster. Also present were: Miss Irene Henderson, Barry
Brown and T. It. Caffall from Uvalde.
Motion by Eanes and seconded by Gold that bills as presented
be approved. (Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Audit Iteport :Motion by Eanes and seconded by Brock that the Audit report for
1967-68 be approved. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Rater Survey Mavor stated that Less Hudson was making progress with the
Report water survey report.
Extraterritorial Motion by Eanes and seconded by Davis that city adopt ordinance
Jurisdiction covering extraterritorial jurisdiction. Votes as follows: Ayes:
Lanes, Gold, Brock, Lyda and Davis. hoes: None.
Thomas Bros. Mayor appointed Doyle Lyda to check with Thomas Brothers in
Lease Sewer regard to their leasing the Pecan orchard and the sewer farm land.
Farm
Motion by Brock and seconded by vanes that 20 mile speed limit
Speed Zone be placed on East 15th Street beginning in vicinity Last of M.K.T.
L. 15th railroad tracts to Ifutto }toad and south of light to Elementary
School.
%tanager Council interviewed Mr. T. H. C,,ffall from Uvalde for position
Applicant of City Manager. No action was taken.
There being no further business, on motion by Lyda and seconded
by Brock that meeting adjourn.
