HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 11.13.1967 CC-R41 November 13, 1967 The City Council met on the above date, Mayor Jay C. Sloan presiding. The following Councilmen and officials were present: William it. Lanes, Barry Gold, Hubert If. Brock, Doyle E. Lyda, City Manager Charles D. Eye- ington, Assistant City Manager Claud Eads, Chief of Police Frank Masur, Jr., do City Attorney Joe B. McMaster, James A. Rehler, Wullace Evans,Rodney Montgomery and Jim Rehler all with the Urban Renewal Agency, Mr. Jim Hector, Urban Renewal Director and Gene Hobart, Urban Renewal Consultant. Also Drew Ballard with K.G.T.N., William It. Stump and James Lackey. Minutes of the meetings held October 9th and October 16th were approved except for omission of date of Public Bearing that was held in District Court Room, should have read November 6, 1967. Motion by Lyda, seconded by Gold that General Fund Bills in amount of 10,782.37 and Utility Fund bills in amount of $21,837.14 be approved and paid. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Urban A RESOLUTION CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE Renewal REVISED URBAN RENE:IVAL PLAN FOIL THE; SOUTH SAN Public GABRIEL URIIAN RENEWAL PROJECT AREA, NO. TIN 11-102 Hearing Motion by Gold and seconded by Brock that above resolution be adopted. Votes as follows: Ayes: Lanes, Gold, Brock, Lyda. Noes: None Evans was absent. One -Way The Council proposed the following changes on College Street and Streets Ash Street (Ash) On Ash Street: (College) One-way traffic north from University Avenue to 8th Street No Parking on west side of Ash from University to 8th Street. On College Street: One-way traffic South from University Avenue to 8th Street No Parking on East side of College St. from University to 8th St. All above applicable from 7:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. School days only. Zoning AMENDMENT TO TRE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE Change CITY OF GEORGETOWN West of (Ord. Book II, P 96) Sinclair Sta. Motion by Lanes and seconded by Gold that the above ordinance be passed. 12th & Austin. Motion carried by unanimous vote. National AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR FIRE LIMITS, AND Building REGULATIONS GOV12iNING THE CONSTRUCTION, ALTERATION, Code REMOVAL, Dl,.MOLITION, EQUIPMENT, USE IND OCCUPANCY, LOCATION AND MAINTE.NANCE OF BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES. Adopting 1967 Abbreviated Edition National Building Code. (See Ordinance Book II, Page 97.) Motion by Gold and seconded by Brock that above ordinance be passed and 1967 Abbreviated Edition of National Building Code be adopted. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Letter Mayor Sloan read the following letter from James A. Rehler. J.A. Rehler Urban lion. J.C..Sloan, Mayor Renewal City of Georgetown Georgetown, Texas Dear Mayor Sloan, This will advise you that Belford Lumber Company no longer owns any property within the Urban Renewal area of the City of Georgetown. Thus there can no longer be any question of Mr. Evans or I having even an indirect interest in any property within the Urban Renewal area. We will appreciate your having this notice inserted in the Minutes of the next Council Meeting. Very truly yours, James A.
